Does anyone have any info about the MBa programme offered by Hindustan College of engineering in chennai?
Have heard that it is a pretty good Engg college...how about mba?
Hi CATacomb,
Hindustan College might be pretty ok for engineering in chennai however, MBA is definately not their core competancy.
In an MBA course you would probably look for faculty experience, facilities, industry interface.
Let me give you a quick run up of Hindustan with regards to this.
Faculty : There are a couple of experienced lecturers but you might find yourself being taught by grads who passed out 2-3 years back as well.
Facilities : The library is far from well stocked but you probably will have a computer per person.
Industry Interface : Though there will be an active placement cell, you might find yourself hitting the road for a job again.
Now having said all this, I will also say this, that as a value add it might be worth it but doing an MBA here would not set your career on fire.
You will find none of the rigour and hard work that the top institutes hand out to it's students.
Also what's said here is probably true for a lot of Grade C and D colleges offering an MBA.
