Re: [28-Dec-08] NMAT 2008: Paper Discussions - 29-12-2008, 04:56 PM

Guys,
I attempted around 105 questions with close to 90% accuracy.
So hopefully would score 90+.
But I've read that it's very difficult to convert call of the NMIMS for numerically higher ranks.
My company has planned a short term onsite assignment for me in France starting January 7 till mid-March.

so, luckily , If I get NM call, will it be worth to attend it by coming from France and going back again..?? Guys plz help

Regards,
Chaitanya.

rest all correct...

Yes 100% bang on.....
Target : Goal its not "time limit"........as suggested by others
if u read the passage its the goal till 2020 to make india developed nation ...thers no time limit to be set....theres a huge difference between time limit and goal.

Passage:
1.However:After so much progress,India is still not developed.

This is what the dictionary says:-

To give praise to; glorify.
so i think the answer should be admired not rewarded

You only tell me who will tell you what rank will you get and wat will be distribution of weigtage this year..No one can say anything for sure..right?
Most of the people are saying they have attempted 100+ with 90%accuracy. so you are also 1 among them.

Yaar abhi delhi door hai..1st let the result be out then only any guess work can be done. To these questions there can not be any concrete answers.

I am really surprised to see such kind of question from a matured person !!

Shashi

i think..ignite has to be inspire only (as used in the context of the passage)
on similar lines..
yardstick - criterion
target - goal (this one is confusing, i think..)
laud - admire

Yes u are right...but its meaning here is in grey shade...also to put on fire is the common sense meaning....if u look in the context of the passage...ignite here means to "inspire" here its in a positive sense....since the whole passage is optimistic...thats what i feel.....
