hi,
nice article!! does IRMA send all its students to villages for hands on training?????
i too am interested in IRMA, did try last year but missed the social awareness cutoff by 1 mark,
have read on this thread that the best way to prepare for gk is by magazines like yojana n rozgar etc, but these are a lil difficult to get in mumbai, can u please guide me on how to prepare for the GK section
i have observed that questions in IRMA GK are very different from the usual GK stuff, so magazines like competition success etc are not going to be of much use i guess

Hi,
IRMA is the only institute which sends it students to villages in gujarat for a one week stay as part of the induction programme.THis is to familiarise you to the people environment and problems which will become part of your life atleast in the two years u stay at IRMA.
There is a larger component of village stay spanning two months which is scheduled in october. Here people are sent to various villages spanning across India to receive hands on training.
As far as GK section goes, Amit has hit the nail on the head.Read newspaper daily. I havent read yojana etc etc ever. Just read newspapers generally and keep an eye out on rural issues. This will help you in the interview stage if you clear the written stage.
Cheers!!!
