1. Some one posted last year paper on this thread. Have a look and gauge difficulty level.

2. "Hurry but don't panic" in exam. If you think a question is taking more than a minute to solve, Leave it.. Speed is the key..

3. Please don't go after any figure of 300 or 340. I have written another post about my say on cut off. (Read he post written before this).

4. No one can tell you..

FMS didnt allow the paper to take with us so far...but the paper i posted was correct FMS 2008 searched from google..i know this damn sure because i attempted the same qns last year...in the meanwhile let me try my luck on FMS 2007 paper...

Yes, you are right...Even mugging up entire Baron might not help sometimes.. Even i don't understand, from where FMS people pich those words for exam..
For QA, solving 30-35 questions is a must. This is score maximizing section..Another thing, till now Maths has been most predicatble and easy (If we leave few complex no, quadratic equations, that appeared last year)..Let us see what comes this year

Cut off for MBA-MS is higher than MBA...Because these days almost everyone applies for both the courses..Number of seats in MBA-MS are less than number of seats in MBA..."6 or 7 times number of seats" are invited for the interview. So if u get a call from MBA-MS, you will surely get one from MBA...Other way will not be true for everyone.

hey max padaku....well i m not saying that u are wrong but i read on the analsis of different institues that cutoff for mba ms is less then mba.......last year they said that for mba the cutoff is gonna be 320-340 whereas it is 280-300 for mba ms.........

Yes, even i was under same impression before coming here..But Coaching institutes are wrong....If we go through the written result of last year, we see that everyone who got thru MBA-MS also got MBA call...Written Results are still lying on fms website...

Further there I had friends around me, who got call from just MBA, however they applied for both..

Anyway, all this information should not bother you at this point of time..Just focus on maximizing the score...

Traditionally FMS MBA has always had a higher cut off. It was only last year that the cut off for MBA-MS was slightly higher than MBA. The only reason for it was as maxpadaku has mentioned was that the number of calls in MS are much less in number.


PS: The trend might reverse so dont concern yourself with such intricate details. As it is with the increase in seats, number of calls will rise dramatically this year. So cut offs will go down. But you never know it before the exam. Thus forget about these things and just concentrate on the written exam right now.

WARNING : You need about 98 percentile overall to get a call. And there is NO WAY you can get that high a percentile without getting a decent percentile in all the sections. So leave a section at your own peril. You need to atleast do something in each section. That is what i feel.

Hello seniors n all aspirants....well this is the first time I'm giving the FMS entrance n i must say this forum rocks..all the queries r very well answered here....Thr's one thing which i really wanted to knw n thts about acedmics !! Wht if ones percentage is not 60 in graduation...will they get the call for interview or get selected if performed very well in all the rounds of FMS or the doors r only open to pple who have gud percentage ? I am a final yr student n whether i'll be considered for MBA if i performed very well...is acedemics really very important or the panel could give some relaxation if the banda is really gud... ?? I knw its a lil stupid query..bt answers will be highly highly appreciated...thanks n regards...
