An Analysis of SNAP ....
Well, its a well known fact now that SNAP 2008 was a little tough compared to last year.. But it cannot be termed very tough in any comparison to earlier snaps... The main driver for concluding this paper as tough were the introduction of 2 markers in all the sections ...
English - Easy .. difficulty level was similar to last years.. (20 - 25 mins, 30 + attempts were possible) cut offs - 14 - 16
LR - moderate .. a little tougher compared to last year.. (35 - 40 mins, 20 - 23 attempts were possible) cut offs - 25 - 28
QA - moderate ... slightly tougher compared to last year.. (30 - 35 mins, 25 attempts were possible) cut offs - 18 - 21
GK - Tough compared to last year with a lot of debatable questions.. (5-10 mins, 20 attempts were possible) cut offs - around 10
Overall -
SIBM pune - 85 + ( i would still go with this figure for many reasons..
1) though the paper was tougher compared to last year, the patern did not change a lot except the introduction of 2 markers.. which were again not that tough compared to the 1 markers.. i personally got all 5 2 marker right in QA and 4 rights in English.. So this would have proved to be a boon for those good in QA ..
2) competition for SNAP has increased many folds compared to last year.. also those who might have missed last year by a whisker might have tried their best in this paper..
3) last year cut-off was 85 for SIBM pune.. so guys giving the exam would have had this psychological number in their head while attempting and would have tried their best to surpass the figure ..

Do not agree with your QA cutoff at all. If it was tougher than last year, how can the cutoff go up? i would term a section easy if i feel the cutoffs would go up. Last year QA cutoff was 13.75
Overall cannot be 85+ in my opinion. I will be very surprised even if it crosses 80.
IMS predictions are just about right for all sections. T.I.M.E predictions might just prove to be the most accurate.
