Anybody got refund from nmims

Hi

I would like to know if anyone has cancelled their admission to nmims.

i wanted to know how long do they take to refund the fees. Anybody got the refund by now?

As nobody replied to my post , i thought i will only post the recent update...i got my refund from nmims yesterday...they sent me a dd for about 1.20 lakh so i guess anyone who withdraws his admission before 31st of this month will get the same amount..

May i know your reasons for withdrawing........

and any info on how much is the differential between an IIM Grad and NMIMS Grad??
Also how does NMIMS compare with Bajaj or SP Jain??

Is it better to try again next year??

hi haripreet,

well my reasons for not joinin NM is my call from IIM Kozhikode. I had paid the fee for nm just 2 days before the IIM results came out!!!! anyways had to loose only 15k for that...

well about nm , i would consider nm as a good institute but certainly not in the leagues of IIM , SP jain or J.Bajaj but ya it has one major advantage of location which helps it to get guest faculty and soo many speakers from the industry. I feel it is really good for marketing although not much info about the other areas.

Well about whether to wait for next year or not is fully your personal decision , if u have confidence in u that u can crack CAT next year then it is worth but then lookin at the competetion there is lot of uncertainty.

Hi Puys...I have taken admission in NMIMS university. The course has commenced from 23rd June 2008. I have cancelled my admission on 22nd July 2008 and taken admission some where else, now they are saying that we cannot refund a single rupee from Rs 2Lac 10 Thousand which I have paid...What should I do next.... The intake capacity as mentioned in the course is 30 students while...now there are 31 students including me.... so in this case can anybody guide me as to what refund rules can apply.... reply as early as possible...thanks
