In MAT SEPTEMBER 2008,AMITY'S name was not there in MAT BULLETEIN, thats why I was asking about SEPTEMBER SCORE.

Does it accepts XAT scores 2??....If yes then please confirm the cut offs....

i dont think that amity accepts xat scores..:new_scatter:!! and as far as cat is concerned m nt too sure about it.. bt yeah for mba general thru mat u need atleast 75%ile.. :new_scatter:

Score required for admission for 2009:

General MBA
CAT Percentile : 85
MAT Score : 650
GMAT Score : 550

MBA-IB, Mkting & Sales, HR, Retail Mgt
CAT Percentile : 80
MAT Score : 600
GMAT Score : 500

MBA-Entrepreneurship & Leadership, 3 Continent MBA
CAT Percentile : 75
MAT Score : 500
GMAT Score : 500

XAT is not accepted for any of the programmes.
For programmes other than Gen MBA, AMCAT can also be given for admission by the candidates on the day of the interview.

I cannot comment on whether the diploma u get will be useful or not. Perhaps a educational counselor can guide you better on it.

Regarding the placements yes, Gen MBA and IB have been getting better placements. Placement for IB has been going higher than Gen in the last few yrs. If you have interest in Mkting and Sales you can take admission in Gen MBA or MBA-Mkting & Sales, I would suggest Gen MBA since it's the best MBA programme of Amity (Since it's admission is also tougher than other programmes). In Gen MBA also you get to choose major minor papers from second yr and you can select Mkting as a major.

Go with your area of interest and not with the fact that IB is getting better placements. There is constant rivalry going on b/w AIBS(MBA-IB) and ABS(Gen MBA) and each inst. is constantly fighting to beat the other in terms of placements. Sometimes ABS is better and sometimes AIBS, right now AIBS has been fetching better placements.
