with respect to the entrance test-all DU courses have usually been speed based paper-so its not like CAT (accuracy& all about 40% attempts);
ur strategy should be akin to that of taking MAT but the skill required is still that of CAT

in addition to the CAT sections there's GK(Business &all) some statistics concepts-numericals mostly; basic economics concepts r also tested.

the cut-offs r never disclosed but the 90%ilers usually make it to interview,gd process.

4 d seats-" The intake of the course is 72 students with 22.5% seats reserved for SC/ST candidates and 3% seats reserved for physically challenged candidates."

i don't know of any specific special tips,but what i tried to do during this period was to just be in the groove,with weekly tests of both CAT & MAT variety Since u can't be sure which type will come.

just focus & keep on doing tests;
don't pressurize yrself but don't loose urself either!!!

I have a question, i.e., on what basis is a call given for gd and interview..is it based simply on your entrance test score or do they consider other factors as well before giving a call.......i know normally a call is given simply on the basis of test scores in most colleges, but still wanted to confirm it....

popular Misconception actually....

Well friend getting a call is more difficult than converting it

first of all one gets a call based on profile & not just on the test score

In Fact its required that u clear all sectional cut-offs 4 ur test score 2 b considered !!

that's why at the time of submission (of form) there's a lot of emphasis on SOP & building an impressive CV.

however i must admit i have heard that at the time of giving call- slight edge is given to test score.
but its a slight edge not the whole of it!!!!

Dear candidates (Prospective MBE's)
here's hoping that gk preperations of all of u r on in full swing.
its rightly said that one can't mug up gk facts in a week.
so its important that one remains continously on the lookout for current affairs.
a mindset needs to b maintained & 4 every fact & figure one should question himself ,"could it come in entrance exam" .
since GK ranges from a definition of ponzi scheme to why Bono (U2) wears shades whenever he meets fans !!

there r innumerable sites offering gk already segmented as historical/current affairs/business/religious etc.
& they should b fully utilised

& as i had said earlier keep on doing every test u can lay hands on..
one can't afford to take chance after all!!

What is the safe no of attempts for MBE & total no of calls given for GD/PI??..

Also being a MBE student, how many people are gona sit for the MBE paper on 15th feb??..

for business gk u must go through Mint everyday, for a general understanding of financial concepts u can go through investopedia

for general (history & all)gk, i had last year gone through tcyonline had some good stuff; even PT's website is good.

in fact websites r innumerable , like manorama online & bbc,reuters & stuff.
the idea is to know ur weakest & strongest area & work on it as per a strategy..

ReGarding calls, it has already been mentioned that cut-off's can't b "declared & stuff" they r based on relative performance . the score 4 getting a call is never disclosed; but its generally felt that at least a 90%ile needs to be achieved with all sectionals cleared.
