hello ....respected freinds .......

well ..can any body suggest me ..do i have a stand to get admissions on this particular academic background of mine`s /...they are

class X-70 %
class XII- 57%
B.TECH(IT)--57% aggregate till now ....me a final year student

good in Group Discussions ........

and participated in much extra curricullar activities till......
do i have a stand ......of getting call if i get around 90 percentile or near about that ....please suggest ....or i should leave my aim to become an MBA .....thanks

Hey dude....y to leave ur aim if u hv bad academics....if u score well in entrace exams and perform well in gd pi thn any instt will select u.....rem ur past does nt matter much all that matters is ur present and what u can deliver in future....

As u r in final year try to improve ur degree as such as u can...

Dear Friend,

I dont think getting low scores in academic should stop you from pursuing a management degree. Try your best and get the best you can get. Why only aiming SNAP, you can crack CAT also if you have it in you.

i'm a graduated in june 2008.. i don have any work exp or my academic background is tht good i guess..

Xth 80%
XIIth 70%
BTECH 60%

there is no other things 2 add 2 my profile..

do u think i hav any chance of getting a call from symbiosis or any top 20 colleges..

Work experience is not the only criterea for admisison to a B-School.An individual is judged on various parameters such as academics,entrance exam score,extra curriculars,work experience etc.We advice you to prepare hard for the exams and hope for the best.

Hi guys...seems to me there is lot of miss-conceptions in thread...
let me introduce myself - i m Himanshu Sharma, from batch of 2005-07....

Regarding admission process: SCMHRD, has a unique process of choosing its candidates - an academic geek or a college hunk wont get thru, but a normal individual with above average acads and curricluar activities will get thru...
u need to understand MBA is not about being studious/totally outgoing - it about being smart & having quick analytical skills - tht pays in long term & we have the best faculty teaching the latter part - smartness is what you will come with...

Regarding the above mentioned MISS-CONCEPTION - well its kinda true in a way - i havent seen 1 batch (in HRD's history), where the ratio was in favour of guys...at max it was 50:50...trust me when i say this b'coz my two roomates included one placement head and other was admission head (i was the black sheep of the room) & the Alumni team head was my padosi...so i had my data correct

but dnt let this hinder your performances - u may never know, where you may land up.

i am going to appear for SNAP 2008 and have a will to seek admission in SCMHRD in marketing........

With GOD's Grace, my profile is as follows:

Xth - 85.33 %
XI th - 83.33% 1st Rank in the college with 1000 studens
XII - 80.33% (Commerce) I got IT subject on merit

GRAD - 2 First Ranks, and 4 second ranks in college.
organised many events...like industrial visits, collegiate events etc...
Anchored many events....
have won more than 30 certificates during acads in events like debate, quiz, badminton, chess, extempore, GD etc....


Now assume if i get a good score say 80 will i get a GD PI call?

and what is the role of profile is conversion of GD call into admission?

I cannot tell you for sure whether you will get thru or not, because the criteria of selection keeps on changing with the current markte situation as well as feedback from previous years students, but one thing i can tell for sure that you have a decent profile. It will completely depend how others fare compared to you, that your chance of selection will depend.

I want to do ma MBA in Finance and dt has deterred me to apply to several top notch insti offerring MBA in HR

SCMHRD has got a great repo , no doubts regarding that.

I wanted to know whether d finance specialisation at SCMHRD is really good?
and SCMHRD being a HR insti , the Top packages mst be goin to 1s who specialise in HR ( this is what i think), ne clarifications and data proving otherwise , is what i seek here!!!!

and about those PROFILE based calls
