eligibility criteria is that overall combining all the sems of the engg... u need 60+ .. not every sem

I have heard that there is no sectional cutoff at FMS though a minimum of 50% percentile in each section. Is is true would like to clarify from the seniors who made to FMS this year.....

Although if u can give an idea of how the OA for the FMS last year and approx how many gave the exam ???

Please let me know .... Desperate for FMS...

As mentioned by azotae already, dont worry about 50 percentile. Work out the mathematics. U wont reach the magical 98.5 (I guess) as long as u dont get 50 in each section.

OA - 105 questions with good accuracy is the norm i think.

hello seniors
please share the strategy that you used when you gave fms....
how much time did you allocate to each section ( especially RC)
n please also tell that wat is the approx length of each passage.????
wats the best way to do it....is it to read the whole passage and then start doing questions or to directly jump on the questions.??????

A good strategy would be to approportion 30 min to each of the sections. and use 5 min of the section one is good at in another tougher section. The idea being that easy questions across all sections can be attempted.

A good way to approach the RC would be to read the passage as fast as one can. That will give the idea of the passage and be of great use in answering the inference based questions. Also underline things like names of people, places etc so that direct questions can be answered easily.

FMS is known for having very long RCs. RCs can be even 2-3 pages long at times.

Speed is the key in a paper like FMS. Also having a high accuracy is of importance

All the best !
