Also i have heard that the seats in the FMS have been increased this year ????

Nice to know you are desperate to get into FMS. Best of Luck.

In terms of prep, i can advice concentrate on CAT currently. This will make your concepts strong. Once CAT is over then you can pick up sample FMS papers. See traditionally the paper is easy, but be ready for any surprises. Speed or Accuracy?? Hmmm.....400 calls amongst 40,000. What do u think.....Both are equally important.....Just find your area which suits you best, and ensure you absolutely romp it. It suite people with better english. But no set rule, if you are really good in quant. You can do all(yes all) in really quick time. I hope i resolved a bit of your anxiety

Hi puys,

here are some of the inputs about the FMS exam:

1. The exam is generally held on the second sunday of Jan(The sunday after XAT)
2. It generally doesnt clash with other exams
3. FMS traditionally has been a speed paper with lot of questions around 175.
4. Last year there were four sections VA, RC , Quant and DI. Each section had a sectional cutoff of 50%ile(pl correct me if I am wrong)
5. After the written round there will separate shortlists for FMS-FT and FMS-MS
6. Then there will be a extempore and interview round

Also FMS application generally asks for an SOP. So start thinking on those lines ...

hello.....I have a doubt.......the notification says that all OBC students can purchase the form at low rate....does it indicate that all OBCs will get the reservation irrespective of creamy or non-creamy....?

hey can u pls tel frm where can i get those fms sample papers u're talking about....I havn't been scoring exceptionally well and my percentile's in the range 70-80%.should i give fms exam considering my percentile?

Hi,

you can get the application form from SBI main branch in ur city(apart from other SBI branches in some cities). form will be available from 20th Oct. Exam is on 11th jan 2009(As info as per TOI dated 12th Oct).
@others: can anyone tell me about the overall cotoff for the last year paper...
