In case you have an interview for GIM at 1:45pm and for lets say XYZ college at 11:45am then you need to come to the center a day in advance and bring the necessary proof(ur GIM call letter,call letter of the college where u are having the second interview) and meet the administrative staff over there. It is entirely based on his/her judgement of the validity of the reason and the availability of an alternative slot that your dates shall be revised.

The date change is given this year to benefit the students who really need it. The administrative staff is taking time out from his/her usual activities at the center to assist you in the process. So please dont take silly excuses to them and increase their workload.

The interview dates for the various centers are as mentioned below.

Delhi 2nd march to 7th march
Mumbai 2nd march to 6th march
Kolkata 2nd march to 5th march
Bangalore 2nd march to 7th march.

The 2 slots are 8:45 am and 1:45 pm.

Only exception is for candidates having their interview in mumbai on the 6th march. Their first slot will be at 9:45 am and location is YWCA not YMCA(please chk ur call letters, am not sure if its 9:30 or 9:45).

Any queries regarding this let us know. Another thing, calling up the admission cell for date changes would not help as the changes would happen personally at the centers, if they are to happen.

One slight correction, For the Mumbai center on 6th of march there will be interviews at 2 places. one panel at YMCA at 8:45am and another at YWCA at 9:45 am. So there will be candidates who shall have either of these locations printed on the call letter. You have to report at the center based on the data given on the call letter. Please have a look at ur call letter carefully before going to the centers and its advisable to go a bit early.

What are all the specialisations offered in GIM? I have tried to locate this information in GIM website, but with no luck.

Well GIM doesnt offer any specialisations as such.

U can choose ur own credits from the various electives, if I m not wrong.

Yes u are right at GIM the students are given the liberty to choose their subjects of interests from the electives and constitute their major or minor or might do dual specialization in Marketing, Finance, Systems,HR or Operations

I have one other doubt.. what is the procedure after essay/PI.. The final calls will be announced in April.. Should we be here for that?? How will we be informed?? In case i get a call, When should we register and pay the fees by??? Can someone else do this for us?? When is all this scheduled to happen??

I plan to go out of station for a few months.. Ill book my ticket based on this..
please help me

Hold on !!!!
First of all the results will be out online by the last week of march or first week of April. Also a mail shall be sent to you by courier. In case you do get a call you shall be given around 15 days time to arrange for loan and get ur DD done. The DD can be sent even by any friend or relative before the mentioned date. Post the date if your DD is not received it shall be assumed that you do not wish to accept the admission.

Even i have'nt recieved my call letter and i am in the same slot as your's 4th march 2 pm bangalore. I did talk to admission office at GIM day before yesterday and they said that it was fine that you bring the printout of the soft copy.... So chill out and prepare for the PI...

hello seniors..

a small doubt regarding the weightage of XAT score in the final admission process.

its just given in the site that 50% weightage will be given to XAT score and 10 to acads, 10 to work ex and 30 to PI and essay.

to calculate this 50 % weightage, what ll be the procedure. ? there r two ways possible. any idea which would be taken ?

1) divide the xat percentile by 2. but in this method, there ll be very little difference btwn the person who has scored 99 p.c and who has got 93 p.c, which is the cutoff.

2) give 0 to the person who has scored 93 p.c which is the cut off and fro m there give like 10 to person who has got 94, 20 th who has got 96,.. and something like that. In this method, the person who has scored 98 or 99 will have a huge advantage over the persone who has scored 93.

pls clarify.
