Hi People,
How are you guys?
I had been away from the thread for a long time but today I could not resist posting after so much chatter about the format.
See, GIM will have a selection process.
Chances are that the process may be different from what we went through, but the skils tested will essentially remian the same.
Now for example you want to have dinner.
You may either go to a hotel and let the waiter come and serve you, or you may go for a buffet where you pick your own food and eat it.
But EATING remains the same.
Similarly, 1 GD or many, HR interview interview or Technical or whatever...case study of task....
The fact remains that following skills will be tested
1) Your ability to articulate (Theek se bol nahi paye toh seedha nikal denge)
2) Your presence of mind
3) Your innovativeness, a solution oriented mind.
4) Your expertise in your chosen field
5) Your personality (Dont worry it cannot be changed now)
6) Your potential as deserving that 1 seat (That they will decide)
So irrespective of what the format of the selection process is, it is only these things that will be tested. No one is gonna test how fast you can run or much weight you can lift.
So dont worry about the format and start reading the newspaper and rehersing the answers to question WHY MBA and WHY SHOULD WE TAKE YOU...in front of a mirror. It will help you.

Important Notice:
For those having queries regarding the shift in dates, please read the following lines carefully.
The interview dates will be changed only for a valid and genuine reason. You shall have to produce the call letter of the other institute with which your GIM interview is clashing.
In case you have an interview for GIM at 1:45pm and for lets say XYZ college at 11:45am then you need to come to the center a day in advance and bring the necessary proof(ur GIM call letter,call letter of the college where u are having the second interview) and meet the administrative staff over there. It is entirely based on his/her judgement of the validity of the reason and the availability of an alternative slot that your dates shall be revised.
The date change is given this year to benefit the students who really need it. The administrative staff is taking time out from his/her usual activities at the center to assist you in the process. So please dont take silly excuses to them and increase their workload.
The interview dates for the various centers are as mentioned below.
Delhi 2nd march to 7th march
Mumbai 2nd march to 6th march
Kolkata 2nd march to 5th march
Bangalore 2nd march to 7th march.
The 2 slots are 8:45 am and 1:45 pm.
Only exception is for candidates having their interview in mumbai on the 6th march. Their first slot will be at 9:45 am and location is YWCA not YMCA(please chk ur call letters, am not sure if its 9:30 or 9:45).
Any queries regarding this let us know. Another thing, calling up the admission cell for date changes would not help as the changes would happen personally at the centers, if they are to happen.
