Hello to All,

My XAT score is:
VA: 88.44
QA: 63.23
R&DM:94.97
OA: 91.90 percentile

Can somone please let me know what are my chances of getting a call from GIM?
Also, when will the institute publish its list of short listed candidates?

My acads are good:
10th: 78 %
12th 87 %
Graduation (Engineering) 85 %

I have a work ex of 18 months in Accenture and a good profile. This is my only hope till now.

91.9%ile should be safe as per last year's cut offs... have to wait till the short list is out.. it might be out in feb 2nd week.. go through prev posts by seniors... it'll give u a better idea...

I have scored 98.64% in XAT-2009
would like to knw if there is chance to apply now ???

i have reg for gim but didn,t sent the fee..

is there ny chance of sending the fee now....

Hi people,

Congratulations to all who have done well in XAT.

See there is no point in speculating about the cutoffs at this point of time.

In 2006, the cutoffs were 84%ile.

then the next year, GIM had 10000 applications, the cutoff jumped to 90.01.

Then in 2008, we had 12000 applications, everyone expected the cutoff to hit 93 or something...

but it didnt. 90.01 was the cutoff for 2008.

This year there has been another big jump in applications. So I do feel the cutoffs will go higher.

I know I will break many hearts over here. But information eeds to be given

Those above 93 are mostly sure.

Between 90 and 93 pray that things turn out the same way as last year.

below 90....hard luck guys.

The shortlist will be out by Valentines, till then just chill.

sorry to say,but the last date for accepting the forms is jan 3rd..so no point of sending the form now.

hey thanks severus snape..i got 91.55 percentile and as you said no point in tellin/askin whether in or out..anyways hoping GIM calls me (assumin last year's cut off)..lets see..also would want to see u in person..

There may not be sectional cutoffs for GIM, but does it have a marker for minimum sectional cutoff? I ask because I've screwed up in QA with a 39%ile :-x

My Scores are -

OA: 94.180
VA: 99.06
LR: 87.42
QA: 39.21

Decent acads, good curriculars.

Any chances of a call or will Maths play spoilsport?

How many times do I have to repeat...

I got a call in 07 with 28%ile in quant.

In 2008 with 36%ile in quant.

I even made it through!!!

So guys while there is no marker cutoff,

GIM does put in a requirement.

A NON ZERO SCORE.

Boss zero aya hoga toh fir maare jaoge.

Par agar 1 mark bhi aya, and u have above the cutoff, ure ON!!!

and as becomes the tendancy during these times, dont make this thread an outlet for your anxieties.

I have been through this for 2 years.

PG pe post kar ke dil ko bahut chain milta hai...lekin thread ki watt mat lagao bhaiyon aur unki behenon!!!

Please excercise restraint and post only if absolutely necessary.

besides rest of us here at GIM are always there for u on PM...

being together in your journey as aspirants is a GIM tradition. Cos no one but us who has gone through it already will identofy with u more.
