Scattered, I appreciate ur willingness to help on this thread. All the same I would request you to first check the current process and then give answers. Else they may confuse everyone who visits the thread. As far as this years admissions process is concerned there are no differential fees for application and all the applicants need to fill the form before 31st of December 2008.

Again, we all are B-school students and as per the rules of PG, I would request refraining from personal attacks without prior knowledge. Scattered , in case there is anything personal that you wish to write use the PM facility.

We also would like to thank ur college TISS for welcoming our batchmates:

Sunder : "the guy with the violin
Reuben : "the guy with the piano"
Ankush and Jagdeep.

I would have appreciated if u had remembered the names of atleast
Sunder and Reuben, since both were finalists at the " Claim for Fame " Event at Manthan 08, TISS. And Sunder went on the win the title finally.

Allan: As regards ur question its my personal advise to fill up the form immediately, in case u have decided upon GIM as one of ur desired colleges.

I remember last year one of my friends missed the deadline by one day. Once the heat of the exams begin we generally forget such minor things that may cost heavily later on.

Hope this answers ur query.
Thanks akkinaya , actually boss i wrote that post in a hurry and couldnt recollect their names. i was the one who conducted the 'claim to fame' event.its difficult to remember names uve heard just once.anyways met those 4 and told them to invite us to GIM as well...and ya would like to add that i made sure that we had a lotta 'go GIM' screams in the auditorium to make those chaps feel home!

anyways @snape : boss all i wanted to say is that on the grounds of whether a bschool lets u fill the form after/before the exams u just cannot make any genralizations about if its gentlemanly or not. and sir u have got ur facts wrong. i have personally filled SIBM , SCMHRD , SIIB after writing snap. also i have filled LIBA after giving XAT. and i can name many more. like MICA , IMT, NITIE (after cat). etc. etc. so all these bschools are being ungentlemanly ??

Peace.

arre bhai band karo yeh argument.................
watever was the reason for differential cost, its not there nemore..............
so i believe there is no need to talk abt it,

This thread is for 2009-11 batch, let us please discuss things relevant to the current batch only...............
the purpose of thread is not to talk abt which coll process is better(ans its also against the rules of PG to name other institute in any thread not related to the institute)..............
so lets not get into it............

Please let this thread serve its purpose..........

PS:
1> snape and scattered please exchange ur views thru the gr8 facility called as pvt msg..............
2>Thanks scattered bhai for cheering sunder and rueben,we will definitely return the favor wen u guys come to GIM and tats a promise
3>Just to clear the suspense and fundas, the differential rates were applicable to solve the problem of last minute rush. GIM follows EOQ model for sending and printing forms( i know bcoz i did an operation mgmt project on the admission process of GIM and for tat had a nice 2 hr chat wid jenny mam,the admission incharge) but dnt start the discussion again on this:chillpill:.........
If ne1 has problems wid this please PM me, i will reply asap

Well its good to see GIMites taking up the queries of the MBA Aspirants. Though didn't get an oppurtunity to meet up with the PGP1's but the current PGP2 are very much in my golden memory.

So will try to feed in where ever possible.

Well my 2 cents on the classic delima of applying to B school

It's quite obvious to all of u guys about which college ranks where and now that I am back in the industry trust me it what matters at the end is what u learnt and how much fun u had on the way.

Well I don't want to get into this debate but believe me I am working with guys from the IIM's and that too B, C's ... so if u want to use the 2 years effectively ... no one can stop u ....

So do look for the lib. facility, faculty, subjects, and the fun part ..parties, etc. ...for choosing ur dream college ....and the rest so called other factors doesn't matter ....
