A pretty irrelevant query to raise at this point...
But because I know the reason I satisfy your curiosity.
Unlike many schools, GIM does not follow the ungentlemanly practice of letting you fill the forms after the test, which the school accepts, is over. You CANNOT fill the GIM form after the XAT exam is over.
There WAS (AND NO LONGER IS) a differential in the application fee last year. If you filled the form till September 30th 2007, you were charged the normal fee of Rs 900.
But in case you got late, a sort of late fee was levied and you could fill in the forms for a fee of 1100 bucks by 30th November 2007. But no way in Mephist's hostel that you could fill the form after XAT....
But this year as described by Parikshit its the same throughout.
Guys, rest assured, GIM is a Business School. But its not a business but a school, so everything they say and do, has a reason that has the ultimate interests of students in Mind.
Thanks a lot[/quote]
dear snape , 1st and foremost it was not a query it was a statement.
also last year the forms costed 900 in november and 1200 in december. and FYI i had a pretty long interaction (PI) with GIM proffs about this differential costs and presented to them my reasons and derivations...which did align with the motives and reasons of GIM. and to be frank....it was a brilliant subtle way of allowing GIM to aid in their admission process (hats off to GIM management..seriously) and. (plz let me know if u want me to tell you the reason behind differential costs beacuse i guess there is no problem in me divulging it since the trend has been discontinued)..you wouldnt know. anyways...also dearest snap there is
absolutely nothing ungentlemanly about letting students fill the forms after the exam is over. on the contrary...it gives the applicants more leverage because after the exam is done a student will know where he/she stands. nevertheless it really doesnt matter. if u gotta fill a form u will fill it. before or after the exams is totally irrelevant to a serious mba aspirant. u must be knowing better eh snape? no hard feelings mate we wouldve been batchmates but for TISS...p.s i met a couple of your batchies who had come over to TISS for 'manthan'
