@ aditi
the essay in XAT is the most ambiguos thing in terms of its evaluation and weightage.i have friend studying in ximb..he wasnt asked anything abt the essay...but then u have ppl who have been asked abt the essay...few months back someone on pg told that if ur interview doesent turn out to be interesting enuf then the panel turns towards the essay...i was advised by some seniors not to make the essay thing a taboo and treat it as just another question where instead of darkening the ovals one has the liberty to actually write something...so watever is the topic make the best use of ur writing skills...hope this helps...

Look, saiyash....
The rural programme focuses mainly on managing businesses in a rural environment. It essentially gives you pretty similar knowledge as in a BM course, but all the RM courses are tailor made keeping a rural business environment in mind.
Having said this, I must caution you that the BM and RM programmes are separate entities and cater to vastly different business environments. If you feel that you are up to the challenge of either course, then GO FOR IT!!!
