I know that it might be too early to ask this ques...still I wud like to know that wat's the minimum work exp. required to be elligible for lateral placements and can a person with work exp. in IT MNC can appear in lateral placement for Finance profile JOB...??

Hi...I will answer this here also for the benefit of the others. XIMB does not generally impose a work ex limit for laterals. It is entirely dependent upon the companies to lay down the eligibility criteria. Having said that, companies generally ask for 2 yrs of relevant work ex in order to consider a candidate as a lateral.

As for the IT MNC work ex being considered as relevant for a Fin company, it is highly unlikely unless you have actually worked in the finance dept of the IT MNC!!!

First of all, thanks for asking XIMB-specific doubts only. I think binay has satisfactorily answered all ur doubts. As for the placement profiles in summers, u will have to wait for the official placecom release, which is due soon.

I have been working with an IT company for almost 2.5 yrs now. I plan to take up finace as a major in ximb. Now obviously if I join a core Fin company my work ex will be of no value but what kind of roles can i expect to get in an IT company with an mba in finance and 2.5 yrs of IT work ex?

Does anyone have any idea that last time till what was the last WL number to hace got confirmation call in the first list.

When does second WL comes out..i mean d we need to wait till the session starts.

Could you give us an idea as to how many of the placements were lateral in that case? And what would the average package be for lateral and normal placements? Even if the figures for 2009 haven't been released, if you can give us the same for 2008, I guess it could be helpful.

Please help us on this one... whats the status on the Additional 60 seat approval.... how much chances are there??? after XIMB got NBA accredition, i thought it will be far easier to get the approval.... but doesnt seem so as the 1st of june is approaching soon....

You a right.. your exp wouldnt count much in a Fin Company..

As for profiles, it absolutely depends on the company you are aiming for and get thru.. Profiles are varied and cany be generalised...

1st movement was till 64 as far as I remember... Last cleared was 91..
