So from 96.2 to 97.5? thats 1.3 percentile points. even if that were to translate to 2 percentile points per section, 80 across should be enough.

They are also having discussions on the increase in the number of seats to 180, in that case the increase would be lesser but for sure would be greater than last year!

Also, as mentioned earlier the shortlist will be out sometime in the first week of feb, and the GD/PP process is expected to start in the 3rd-4th week of feb.

Hopefully this would lay rest to many of your queries.
any chance it wud be a lil less than 97.5?

Hey as I had mentioned earlier, it depends on their decision regarding the number of seats, in case it rises to 180, definitely the cutoff would be less than 97.5!

LR : 97.22 %ile
QA : 71.03 %ile :(

Did go through previous posts. Am slightly pensive coz of QA (obviously ). Is there a chance at all or is it a hopeless case? :(
Are they rigid when it comes to sectionals or can the overall score make up for it?

Am a general category candidate.

Do reply. Thanks.

I don't think with percentile rising this year, there is any chance of you getting a call with low QA percentile! Still, hope for the best!

Good Luck

Hi Puys !

find the link below... which contains info of the last 2 yrs cutoffs of XIMB ... for both orissa category and general ...
I guess it is the mandatory info for aicte approval...
contains the list of ppl who were called for the interview and their scores..!!

http://www.ximb.ac.in/ximb/index.php?id=239

One interesting thing which i noticed was almost all the ppl who were called for interview had an almost equal GD-PI final score...

one of my friends had been to the GD PI lastyr & he was very dominatin in the GD but surprisingly his score is decent !

Now u r free to draw further inferences..

Wishin u all Puys the very best for XIMB !!

Final selection is not only based on GD/PI score. It also has other components like ur XAT score, work-ex (if any), acads (to a certain extent) etc.

I found some discrepancy in their Report..

A guy named Kenneth Noronha was the last one to get an offer letter last year, and that too on 20th June, i.e after the start.

But his overall marks as they have mentioned (XAT + GDPI) are better than atleast 30 people. If that was the case, how come he got the last seat..

I was browsing through all the threads of 2008 and compared marks of most of the people.

I just think that they disclosed this report as they had to but the criteria of Admission are something else..

Anyways just my 2 paise, others can assume anything..
