Oh.. its an extremely borderline case. Your chances are very less, Cutoff for XIMB is 101% so you might miss out..
Can't you guys read the previous posts and infer what might be the cutoffs and your chances. Also Alumini have mentioned when the short list is expected. Why clutter the thread..

If people like you with such good percentile start doubting ur case, I can't understand what will happen to others! Until the time u don't pull out ur application, there is no way they can't give u a call! Also, the Lists will be declared in the first week of feb!!

You will definitely get a call from GIM too..So give them both ur best shot..

Hey,
Hoping I'll get a call , can u guys throw some light on how the GD/PI is conducted in XIMB? What should be the method of preparation?

Well, GDs are generally based on current affairs topics. So, I suggest that you start reading up on newspapers and current affairs magazines. Try and formulate opinions about various issues, with concrete reasons. Sometimes, social topics may also be given. Abstract topics are a rarity so I don't really think you should be too worried about those. For more information on the exact topics and the type of questions asked in PI, plz visit last year's thread.

Hi,
Just wanted to know if there is any chance of an XIMB call with the following score in XAT 2009 :
OA : 98.64 %ile
VA : 99.06 %ile
LR : 97.22 %ile
QA : 71.03 %ile :(
Did go through previous posts. Am slightly pensive coz of QA (obviously ). Is there a chance at all or is it a hopeless case? :(
Are they rigid when it comes to sectionals or can the overall score make up for it?
Am a general category candidate.
Do reply. Thanks.
Maya

I guess I will b the only one who has got an xlri pmir call but will not b getting an ximb call......:-x:-x:-x
my over all is just 95.45 :sad::sad:
since xlri increased it's sectional cutoffs.....the over all cutoff came down.

A piece of Info which I got from the admission's office!
With the increase in number of applications (around 20%) as compared to last year, the cutoff increase is definite which might to be the level of 97.5 OA ( no info regarding sectionals) ! They are also having discussions on the increase in the number of seats to 180, in that case the increase would be lesser but for sure would be greater than last year!
Also, as mentioned earlier the shortlist will be out sometime in the first week of feb, and the GD/PP process is expected to start in the 3rd-4th week of feb.
Hopefully this would have answered most of your queries.
