Hi seniors,

i got following percentile

Verbal 92.69
Quant 89.41
Reasoning 70.5
Overall 90.75

10th 86.4
12th 77.2
B.Tech 80.40
Experience - 30 months

should i apply to LIBA can i expect a call at overall percentile of 90.75, i knw past years it has been above 91?? should i apply to LIBA or not?

Criteria and Weightages for Admission

Each criteria with respective weightages:
 1st Level: Students are called based on their performance in the
entrance exam (XAT)

 2nd Level: Work experience – 10 points, consistent academic record – 10
points, and group discussion & interview – 30 points (XAT scores are not taken into consideration at this level). Based on group discussion & interview points, interviewers are asked to choose 4 points, i.e., Must take – 10 points, b) May take – 7 points, c) May not take – 3 points, and d) Strictly not to take – 0 point.

Cut-off levels of percentage & percentile scores (section wise/total):
 Admission Test : 90.7 percentile for general
60.1 percentile for Minority
 Group Discussion :
 Interview :

As i was going theu last year's thread called LIBA Admissions 2008, i can conclude the following:

1. LIBA CONSIDERS SECTIONAL CUT OFFS FOR OPEN CATEGORY
2. last year the over all cutoff was 90.1%ile according to a senior.
3. there is either no sectional cutoffs for Christians or a very low, also the over all cut off is lowered for Christians
4. VERY IMPORTANT: last year there was sectional cutoff in verbal ability and quant sections to the extent that dey asked for 18% of the marks in dese two sections.
There was a lot of confusion over whether it was 18 marks or 18% .. but logic syas it cant be 18 marks.. coz dat eans aroun 99%ile in dat section acc 2 last paper..
so it WOULD be 18% of the total marks of that section..

So, in my OPINION, a person (from open category) would not be in a good position to get a call if he/she is having less than 70%ile in any of these sections..

This is just my opinion and it might be a possibility that LIBA changes its criterion for this year, so guys dont go by my words and take ur own decision.

Seniors please correct if I am wrong...
I lost all hopes wen i saw last year ppl even with sectionals in early 70s did nt get a call..

here goes my profile:

XAT Score:

verbal Ability: 52%ile
quant : 92%ile
lr : 96%ile
over all : 91.55%ile

my profile:
10th- 83.8%
12th- 80.2%
Grad- 58.9%
Work ex- 6 months(own business)

avg extra curriculars.

suggest wat to do as a senior here says any one with 88+ shud apply as no one knows d criteria for dis year..
