For MSW - it says that the test will be caselets and we must analyse them. Does it mean that MSW students also need to write the quant/english/GK test? Any inputs on this one?

Thanks a lot!

Ya everybody has to give both the test as well as the GD.....but i am not sure about your second question.....

Tiss jan 20,2008 paper - 12-09-2008, 11:24 PM

FOR ALL ASPIRANTS...

As far as TISS paper is concerned,we had 2 papers:

1.Paper -1: 50 questions paper
Time given : 1 hour(No negative marking)(10 - 11am)
Relatively moderate level..I could finish all questions in 50 minutes.
Paper comprised of 20 questions from Maths,20 questions from English,10 questions from Reasoning on Contemparary Indian Issues
Level:If you are preparing for other entrances than it shouldn't be tough.
But,practice maths (ratio, profit&loss, percentages, geometry)and read a lot(be it any issue, you may never know this year ,the 10 questions could be on current affairs)

2.Paper - 2: 50 Questions Paper
Time given: 1 hour(No negative marking)(11-12 pm)
A tough paper because 35 questions comprised of HR and Business knowledge
10 Questions Maths(Simple to moderate level)
5 Questions Case Study(Moderate Level)
How to prepare? Read HR books such as Garry Dessler(HR Management)
General Business Management Books (preferably type on Internet and read Articles on Business Management)
Though,I was still clueless, as 6-7 questions asked us to identify the guru behind a particular funda/theory.

But last year all aspirants who secured 60% and above (i.e 60/100)total score were called for interview and interview stage became the turning point where conversion ratio was 1:50

BUT REMEMBER THE MORE YOU SCORE THE GREATER CHANCES U HAVE OF MAKING TO TISS as it will be helpful in final score(interview+acads+paper)

Jmet and tiss deadlock - 12-09-2008, 11:33 PM

JMET and TISS are clashing so how does one make a choice??
Self-Introspect..Understand what expectations you have from a Business Management Course. Also, don't worry about the seats as you need just 1..you may be competing against a big number..but u need just ONE.
Few parameters I will suggest:
1.Course Content and Branding in the Corporate
2.Alumni Base
3.Faculty:Student Ratio
4.Corporate-Institution Relationship

I read some orkut forums on TISS MSW, apparently it's 4 caselets analysis & an english test for written (essay type). GD on the same day after that. Thanks much for your help.

These are the things that we would consider if we get through both the exams and not at this point.Right now we want to give both the papers so that both the options are open.It seems TISS does not want any engineers in this batch!!

In TISS application form, under Bachelors Degree marks, they have asked Subject-1 and Subject-2.

I am pursuing my final year Computer Science. What to fill in these two subjects? I have 8 subjects each sem and all are majors. Plz reply ASAP.
Seniors plz help!!!:sarcasm:

Don't worry about that....just fill any two subjects from each year(one from each sem).....fill the subjects which are related to Computers like DS,ADA etc...

FYI.
The timing for the TISS exam to be held on 14th December is 9-11 AM.
I got the reply from the authorities in reply to my query about the timings as it was clashing with JMET exam.

The timing of JMET is 10-1.If TISS can't change the date than atleast they should change the time.
