Hmm....till last year 60 % was the cut-off but this year nothing has been mentioned, so guess it would follow the percentile system.....get a 99.xx percentile and you would get a call...

I believe some people have been informed that hall ticket shall come on or before Nov 20th....anyways relax guys, last year some of us ( including me ) got our halltickets on exam day just 10 mins before the exam.. [ maybe that is auspicious..!!!]
As for the sample, guess it affirms what we seniors have been telling all the way, that this year's paper shall be tougher than it used to be....more on XAT pattern...you'll still have more than a month to go...so it was good timing by TISS to release the sample...guess you have enough time to work on your defects and chinks...
We are also here to help you'll out in any so way....
Cheers
Varun

Read the case as detailed under with two assumptions....
1. The company (ABC ltd.) is a U.S based company.
2. Case is based on the issue of racissm (pre Mr. Obama victory...assuming)
The employees of the company are slightly tensed with the dramatic shift in the leaderships profile wherein a significant no. of recruitments have taken place......(bring the assumptions into picture)....
As the HR manager of the company formulate a strategy for....
1. reducing the ambiguity in the minds of the employees
2. how to spread across a msg that no discrimination have existed in the working on factors whatsoever.

Dear All,
The analysis for the case.....no a single reply this time :(
My points are as under
The idea of employees thinking if racism exits in the working manners of a company is determined by the simple fact that what kind of 'culture' exists in the organisation......since culture is undefinable by rules and governed by laws the problem has no short term solutions except for the fact that the HR team can spread a word across the various channels of all being well, and nothing of that sort being practiced in the org, not even in the past.....
Varun, Pls add ur points on this, its both a sensitive nad a tricky matter at hand....
Warm RegardsNidhi Rai

1. Well the Sales team cannot work without Target methodolgy but the targets are set with higher Variable pay.
2.The Employee can be given option in terms of Compensation as (Fixed Pay+Variable pay) .The variable pay will be based on the sales target given to them.
3.These targets will be set along with their Reportees and their personal understanding instead of forcing them from their seniors without knowing whether it is achievable or not.
4.The targets of the company also will be dependent on Variable Consumer and market behaviour.
Analysis of Consumer Behaviour- The Television Manufacturing company has maximum Sales in OND quarter (Due to GEO festival Season whether Christmas,Diwali etc). Looking to market sales growth of the particular product target can be set. These targets are always achievable. Giving so much freedom interms of target growth will be good idea. Well here thought is interms of making a ploicy where Employee sets the target and get approved from the Senior members it will give the middle level manager afeel of vow(Its not Master Slave company).
5. This is all i can suggest to Revoke a resignation.
I have just tried to sove the case(Give a solution to the case). Well people can give their different school of thought:batman:. Plz do correct me if i have taken awrong approach.

Hi Internetia,
Firstly, apologies for missing ur post earlier....
See approach is ok.....but then a lot of these actions actually exist in most org with sales targets...like variable pay, targets in sync.....now taking the case further see the imp of times of economic turmoil on a global level....now some new measures and actions.....wat and how is the ans.....am not repeating it...read Varun's reply on the case...would make things clear for u....
Warm Regards

Since CAT'2008 is around the corner, not many of us are able to contribute much to this thread for a while.....Next week onwards, we can expect more participation to gear up for the TISS exam
