hello..
I have a small query. In the online application form.... under the bachelor degree details, they have a column for 'pattern of study'
What are we supposed to fill in that?

Hi Itisha.

In the pattern , you need to fill according to the faculty of your graduation.If you are from engr. background you need to select 10+2+4
That is after 10th you have 2 years of study till 12th and then 4 years of engr..
If you are a science,arts,commerce grad you need to select 10+2+3
That is after 10th 2 years of tll 12th and then 3 years of colege study.

I would suggest that you have to read " Human Resource Champions", the 1st book by Dave Ulrich...its one of the simplest to understand but a magnificent book to read...

As for Drucker, read any compilation, that should be good enough...even Jack Welch's views on HR are so encouraging when he says, his VP, HR is his right hand man, n not his CFO..!!!

Are these books good for the general hr questions or these are to get the a good knowledge of the subject.......
Also can you please tell me is there any -ve marking for the wrong answers in the TISS exam???

Kunal, the book by Ulrich is to help you in justifying HR as a career choice....which is what you shall be grilled in the PI..

If you are talking abt the exam, take a ashwathappa or any other indian author book...n that shud suffice...but you should know the modern gurus in HR...that cud be asked..!!

As for negative marking, you tell me after the paper on Dec 14th...!!!

further ....doubt regarding the form,

NO:16 says a tag: "YEAR OF PASSING"
now , i am engg student so wht details will i put for all the years
and
they say to attach all 4 year marksheet, you very well know we get semister based marksheet so i am attaching all of the 8 semister sheets and there is something which says GRANT TOTAL in which i am adding all the 4 years marks and taking a % to grant total of all4 years total.
is it right?
lastly just to be sure : i am submitting the for online that pinkish page
along with the DD details and sending my dd and marksheet in a envelop separately with tiss address. and my NET reg number.
both would be identified in the TISS office automatically and got together
....right?

in our last semester , our college had a given a consolidated mark list with details of all the marks of all the semesters...i guess that shud be fine..what say seniors..ho jayega na :unhappy:

finally got to talk to the admission queries desk.a consolidated mark list is more than enuf...usually all colleges give a consolidated mark list either as a separate sheet or with their eighth semester mark sheet..u just need to attch that
