so guys have you decided which one to give - TISS or JMET??....I had mailed TISS last week telling them about the clash of dates but did not get any reply till now.....

can u tell me a few boooks or sites related to trade unions, labour laws and stuff..i am not sure what to search in google..the search results that come are very pretty stuff..uppydog:

and about preparing for gk..is the time i get after cat enough to prepare for gk..or shud i be starting from now on..because the questions can come from anywhere..from arabian nights to wto..:nervous:

OK guys some news....i alagati had gone down to have a talk with the registrar. it seems that TISS paper will be on the lines of XAT this time...so expect the paper to be a few notches tougher. dont take it very lightly. and more importantly dont lose steam after CAT...

about studying for GK or labour laws, unions etc. plz google them. very basic stuff is enough for the interview . focus more on HRM rather than LR.. basic reading is required. for GK u dont have to go outta the way and prepare cuz u just cannot. a regular reader of paper (which im not) will have a good grasp on GK...so start doing that now. that should be enough. be aware of the social issues...current political scenario etc.

yeah and just in case , you have lots of idle time, and want to know abt labour relations, buy a book called " Industrial Relations" by Arun Monappa...n if u read and understand it, you shall sit nxt to me on Oct 19th, when we shall have our LR exam..!!!

Adding to AJ's info .. i also heard of an essay section doing the rounds (aka XAT) ... wait.. hold your horses... let us confirm the news first. For now thats what the grapewine says ....

well....the essay shall pretty much achieve the same purpose of a SOP....they could use the essay to evaluate your core competencies...so if there is an essay section, give it with utmost sincerity..!!

as far as I understand, mate....self attestation means that you yourself sign over the snaps....but yeah do ask some people more before sending in the application form...
