since no extra time is alloted for filling up omr sheets.....it was quite difficult to complete 1st part in 45 mins.
2nd part of hr was terrible.....mgt gk,business knowledge,poison probability stuff is nt assumed to b known by all na but luckily i had filled another opt of hospital administratn which was quite ok.....so hoping to get call for it atleast,whereas for hr its 'no comments'.
1 more thing.....sample paper & original paper were north & south poles.!!!!

hey,u are correct.the part 2 was so weird.they are askin us mgmt ques.if i knew i wudnt b doing mgmt.i dnt knw if i will get a call.bt i did nt get a sample paper.anywaz sample papers are always misleading.

even if you had gone through the sample paper which was available from the tiss site...it had only 50 ques for the second part and had no clue about the rest 25 ques.....

Heres my take on the paper..
As Varun suggested , took on the paper in a 'Halla Bol' spirit.:snipersm: Ran over the first part pretty easily. But TISS decided to fight back with the HR part.  Had it not been for the HR Management and GK questions , I would have wondered if it was the JMET paper  . Perhaps seniors can throw some light on the massive weightage to probability based questions.
P.S. The mismanagement in most of the centres was due to the lack of communication betn the institute and the superviser. It would be a lot easier if supervisers were briefed about the various bells , procedures , instructions for candidates etc. Please do not take this as a complaint. Its more of a suggestion.

a) I don't think s/he's used the word "prediliction (sic)" properly- if s/he meant predilection, which means to favour or be partial to something (a preference, basically), that is.
b) It isn't rude. I understand your disappointment, but as a neutral third party, in my opinion, s/he hasn't said anything to cause ire.
Oh, and don't worry, Part 2 sucked for us all, mismanagement was at its best etc., etc. There's really nothing we can to about it, right? An advantage is that if Part 2 was universally bad for everyone, cut offs will be lower, and if you've done comparatively well, you'll get through.

Wow....feel the creeps inside me as Im reading all ur posts....  :
The section on probability was a stinker, guess TISS is checking how u hold one holds his nerve when a nasty surprise comes up....what we are studying has nothing to do with Poisson's formula....
Mismanagement happened last year too, and Im not condoning it but it has to stop one year....:( :(
As far as the cut off's go, the info we have is there would certainly be a lesser number of calls, 400-500 seems like decent figures.....and I cant comment officially, just being a student....
The tough sections cud have been added to this year's paper so as to reduce the scoring....in that case, 60/100 would be a fair cut-off....
The best way to look ahead now is to focus on SNAP, NMAT, XAT and others....forget TISS till 25th Jan, and then we can start preparing for the GD/PI stage....

The word around is that TISS is gonna call around 600 students for GD/PI. I have selected GL course and TISS has kept only 14 seats for the same. So, whether these 600 students will include "GL" people as well?? PLease comment on the technical procedure of getting into GL as well.
Seniors please comment.
