There shall certainly be a detailed application form to be filled once you crack the written exam and move on to the GD/PI round. So, dont worry if they dont ask you a biographical sketch now..

They shall indirectly ask you once you clear the written exam..!!!

Unfortunately it is final.....

As to your comment on TISS does not care......you need to understand that HRM is not the only course TISS offers....there are 11 odd courses in all....and its only the HRM course that engineers are after...TISS is confident of getting a good batch even if not many engineers apply....its only this year where engineers constitute about 40 % of the batch....!!!

I am not condoning what TISS has done....but my request to my fellow engineers, dont lose heart....the competition shall be less this time, with most of the engineers off to JMET. So, assuming again 40 % engineers shall be in batch of 2011, you have a better chance than last year....!!

For HR part, you need to keep regularly reading top newspapers including ET, know the latest happenings in the businessworld...

Also, I found wikipedia as the best option, just read as much as possible on Human Resource Management and other related topics.....if you want books, go through Ashwathappa....else catch hold of any BMS student and ask her to explain to you in bried HR concepts..!!

you can fill up all 3 courses.....there shall be no bias done....they shall assess your competency for which of the 3 courses you have applied and accordingly give you that seat..!!

I think its a lil extreme to say that tiss doesn’t care as i think TISS was the first to announce the dates. Its kinda a sad situation that we have here as its would boil down to numbers.. Lets hope that it gets sorted out soon as we have our part by informing the concerned authories... Anyhoo .. i would still recommend you to seriously give it a good thought as personally I think TISS is one of the best kept secrets

Another thingy .. Even if you have applied for 3 courses u needn’t worry as there have been students who have got thru more than one course!

Tomorrow starts Manthan, our Annual Business Festival, for which I would like to invite you all....

Each and every Mumbaikar who aspires for TISS has to make it tomorrow....I had come for Manthan last year and believe me it helped me focus tremendously in my preparation for TISS, as I could see what was in store for me...

Every B School has its USP, and ours is Hospitality..so everyone shall be welcomed..

First 2 days shall consist of cultural activities and talk sessions with famous personalities like Mr Boman Irani.

Last day, i.e Saturday shall be the most imp day, where we shall be having our corporate sessions headed by Capt Gopinath. Students are charged a minimal fee of Rs 350 which includes breakfast, a 3 course lunch and tea.

Hope to see all of you'll there and we shall be there to solve all your queries for free too..!!!!:new_ukliam2: :new_ukliam2:

Hi im new to pagalguy. I m appearing for TISS 2008. I have few doubts regarding the exam pattern.
It is given in the brochure dat-- The Written Test is in two parts. Part I is the Common Objective Test for
all the programmes which consists of 3 sections: (i) General awareness/knowledge
about current/contemporary social issues.

What r d other 2 sections???

It is also given dat

Objective Test will have : Data Interpretation Test, Data sufficiency Test, Probability Test, Reading Comprehension relating to business and HR issues, Business Knowledge, Foundation of Management (Economics, Sociological and Psychological).

Is dat mean der will b no verbal ability test(synonyms /ant, grammar ) , no quant test (only probability test)??

"Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree
programme, but have not passed in all the courses (main/major/subsidiary, etc.)
of first and second years (if the Degree is of 3 years duration) and first, second
and third years (if the Degree is of 4 years duration) on the day of applying for
the programme are not eligible to apply for any Master’s Degree programme of

i am a final year engineering student(7th semester) my problem is that in our college 6th semester results are not declared till now so can't i apply for tiss??? plz reply

Somebody said that this time TISS will give only 400 calls.....will that be purely based on written test scores or is the profile of candidates also considered??.....Also,does TISS stress a lot on acads??.....I mean has anybody been selected with avg. acads and no work-ex??(for HR course)

I l be appearing for TISS thz year.

I ve done my engineering( 2006 passoUt)

In the website its said dat we need to send the marklist of 1,2,3,4 th YEar seperately. But the problem is that i had lost my 3rd semester marklIst and has given a request for its reissual. But still hasnt managed to obtain It.The university people hasn given it still

So wat to do in this regard. Could i send the form with all the semester marklist(1&2, 4, 5,6,7.with consolidated & Provisional Included??

Will my application form get rejected??
