If you have asked for Systems in SITM (and misspelled it:innocent, you have a fair chance of getting a call. Having a technical background does give you a edge but the college does not bias between any field of study. if you are capable enough you can make it to SITM with flying colours irrespective of your background

Your profile is excellent. Considering the last year's cutoffs your score is little on the lower side. but you never know. I think you should apply to SITM.

You need to buy the prospectus from a designated AXIS Bank Branch. Please see the list of branches at SITM : Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management, PUNE. Last date to buy the form is 9th Jan 2009.

After this you need to apply online at SITM website using a key given in the prospectus. Last date to fill the online form is 13th Jan 2009. I think there is ample time for you to apply.

Please feel free to ask if you have any other doubts.

i really want to apply for sitm...sys nd fin...nd i hope with a score of 70 i might get a call as well...bt i have a nothr reason to worry abt...whn i checked the dates for gd/p on sitm site....it says...15 onwards...upto 18 or 19 or so...nd i have my internals xams startin up frm 18...

wht i want to know is..whther the whole selctn process for a candidate is done in one day...or do v have to come on all the days....also...if i requst...sitm...to chng my gd pi date...will they actually consider it...???..as i will prfr to have mine gd/[i on the first day..i.e...15...so tht i can get bck to delhi...on tym for my xams...

i knw..this all sound stupid...bt plz help seniors...wht shld i do...

It doesn't sound stupid at all. Many people have this problem and most institute's do co-operate and change the dates. I don't think that SITM would refuse to change the date if you have a genuine problem.
