rt now we r busy for our summers so cudn't add in much!! u guys must keep this thread alive. start some good discussions, make some plans, ask seniors abt the hang outs, know abt events that happen in SITM, the day to day life, etc.

regd placements, the placements are going to take place till june and then only the final figures would be revealed.

Congratulations to those who made into,
Well to discuss further on Huwaei...they are really agressing getting contracts both Public as well as Private,
Their USP is really cheap prices and more IP based NGN service delivery models...
They you may have quest. why not Ericsson,Seimens,Alcatel etc...for that matter any legacy OEMs or ZTE etc...as other featured ones in like category...
As of now I will leave the space for discussion and like to hear your comments...

I wud like to focus on reasons behind thr success...
1. Good global presence:-Huawei serves 270 operators in about 100 countries,
2. Investing in R&D:-its 43% workforce engaged in R&D. The company reports that it dedicates at least 10% of its revenues to R&D
3.Good number of IP’s:-Its now the fourth largest patent applicant worldwide, with more than 20,000 applications filed by 2007.
4.Consulting:-Major difference frm other chinese companies. It hired IBM
for management consulting services, modeling itself after the American company
5.Stratergy:- Huawei positioned itself as a complete solutions provider and not only a manufacturer .
6.Quality Delivered:-Huawei has focused on the mantra “not making it cheaper — it’s making it better.” While other chinese companies focus on making it cheaper.

This is my opinion on the resons of thr success….

Seniors can u plz tel somethin abt the Events tht r held...
we wud really love to hear some stuff abt wht goes behind organizing such gr8 events...
the behind the scene things....
Also if u can tell us abt the selection of diff committes....

@ niraj Regarding events at SITM :
The biggest and exciting event that we have is TGM ,
Unfortunately according to the protocols that we follow details regarding this year will be provided only after the term starts...

about the Events etc in the college -

We had a sports tournament, rock show, freshers and farewell parties , intra college festivals and many more things last year around. You could expect a similar sort of events this year around
Also as an institute we have a history of participating and winning competions and looking forward to the upcoming batch to join hands and be the part of moments of sucess.


Regarding the committee selection - its a very interesting way of selection in which every one has a equal chance to represent the committee.. I wouldnt want you to miss the experience by divulging the details here .
