Hi Wanna knw can u tel wat r the weekly or monthly magazines ,ebooks etc can b followed to b at peer with the current trends and upcomin events in telecom sector....

hi vismay
well talking abt infrastructure u might know we have all the facilities like a gym, aerobics centre, swimming pool, squash court, badminton, TT, volleyball court, a small cricket grnd, TV room, a midnight coffee shop, gr8 mess facility, good cafeteria,etc etc. and if u r a foodie like me, u wud get some dhabas nearby who serve awesome food. it feels really nice when u sit in a small shack nearby with the ambience of a green village and a cup of tea in ur hand.

plus we get 24 hrs internet facility and lan connection for getting all the movies from the peers and also playing counter strike.

well talking about national level events, then we don't have national level sports but yes inter-college sports are there for bschools in pune. also we have national level events like NTS and TGM, the details are on the site. our very own events comm works day in and day out to plan and conduct gr888 events tht brings some jazz to our lives.

well talking about magazines, we all swear by Voice and Data, which is completely dedicated to the telecom industry and that's the best one you can get. if u r unable to subscribe to it, check out the site, it also provides the same info. Try googling it!!

Hi ..

Well there is one point missing in all of the thread ... wht is the drop out rate of SITM .. i think most colleges have it ... i am asking this because this will give aspirants a clearer picturer about placements ... seniors have said it is 100%(or whatever % i dont remember) ...

I think these figures corresponds to people who r eligible to sit for the placements ...

wht is the % of students that are eligible in the first place to sit for the placements. We can have a better picture about placements after that.


Situation to think about ......

For instance if college sees placement scenario is not very good ,it will set up very high grades just to make oneself eligible for the placements , so that only few toppers can sit , nd then boast of very high %placements ,wherein lot of people are left out ...

kindly clarify a bit ...

i have been selected in SITM and to join or not to join .. still thinking on it ....

well its really good to see some innovative queries cming in!! see here as a policy of the college i cannot reveal the placement process, but i'll jus give u a brief idea. first of all we dont have any dropout or something. we are jus 120 odd ppl in each batch and till now our plc committees hav been so efficient to place all the 100% people(yes all 100 %, no dropouts as u like to say it).

and here we don't have an eligibility criteria as such. the eligibility depends on the companies individually. first u r given a choice which companies u want to select and then those companies get a chance if they want to shortlist u for the process. so its a 2 way thing. and as u come here u bcome eligible enuff to raise ur bar and beat all eligibility criterias.

apart from the dressing code you mentioned that has to be followed by all for a month at sitm.. is there as such any dressing code that is followed in the routine??
any special list of things we need to carry with ourselves while coming there?
