Hey Sundew,
1. Pls go through this page. It'll answer your first query... XLRI Admission Process - XLRI School of Business & Human Resources
2. It's really your call. What you mean by better??? Better placement? Better course structure? Better reputation? What??? As such there's no difference between both the courses. It only depends on what you like to do in life. Many people who got calls from both selected HR over BM and many selected BM over HR.
So decide right now.. u have time. Do some research...

Well, wud just like to say that u cant compare the two. PMIR and BM are two different courses, each one excelling in its own sphere. Ofcourse, some may like one more than other. So, try to see where ur heart lies. Do try to follow the threads given above. Rest the admission process shall decide.
Best of Luck...

Guys... just back from a BFA exam. :2gunfire:
That exam made me go into the days when I used to get 99%ile... . I thought and thought and memories and some more and it went on...
Suddenly it came to my mind that when I finally got selected, I found it very difficult to know more and more about XL. I used to search a lot on Google about the pics, the videos but there were not many.
So here I did something bout it. Here's a link that I (all XLers invited) will maintain just to make a repository of XL photos. The link is...
XLRI's Albums, Photo Sharing, View XLRI's Photos & Albums at ibibo Photos
P.S.: ALL XLers can contact me for the "password" so that they can put their stuff in it.

@Sundew: I am guessing by PGP you are referring to BM?? Anyways.. As far as your first question is concerned, XLRI is a privately funded minority institution and there are NO FIXED seats for SC/ST/OBC's.. Although the cut-offs for SC/ST/OBC are lower than those for the General category in the written test, there are no such relaxations in the GD/PI stage.. Its completely merit based.. The cut-off percentiles for last year's XAT were:
BM ~ 98.5 %tile*
PMIR ~ 97.5%tile*
* These figures are merely indicative and must be taken with a pinch of salt..
Now.. Coming to your second question.. As my friends (Sumit+VJ)rocks have rightly pointed out, both the courses offered at XL are amongst the best in India.. The structure and content of both courses are very different.. Both the courses are top-of-the-notch.. Which one you choose is solely dependent on what you want from your career.. If you see yourself thriving in the HR domain, then go for PMIR.. No two ways about that... And if you are more inclined towards specific verticals like Finance, Marketing or Operations, then BM's the way to go..

Dude, there is absolutely no differentiation between SC/ ST / general category in terms of percentiles or preference in admission. So there would be no significance of "mimimum percentile for SC".....
As for ur second Q, well I dont think so. there are cases who got both calls, some of who converted BM but not PMIR, some the other way round ... so both are equally tough ( or equally easy - the way you look at it ) .. it depends on how you perform on the Interview day !!!
And as for your third Q - I will let the IR guyz ( and gals!) answer that!!!!!!

Dude... dont say this ever again.
I've experienced what happens to you when you ask/say this???:2gunfire: :new_ukliam2:
Serious stuff...
The info you are asking about... regarding the "last years min percentile for SCs" is a bit difficult to get. You need to accept it that we are also students and not admins of XL...
Getting HR is easier than BM??? NO WAY...
I personally believe that getting anything more than 98%ile in XAT is not easy and both the courses require more than around 98%ile(we've already pasted the specific percentiles 3 times in this thread) to get a call. So, Nothing is Easy in XL.
