Hopefully, the last question about XAT before the D-day.
If we take the general trends or level of question, 40 percentage overall is sufficient to get the call. But I still have one confusion regarding the sectional cut off percentage, what should be it for clearing the sectional cut offs?

TIA and ATB for all XAT taker (including me..!!)

Hi All,

Happy New Year to All of U..
My Query is regarding specialization while selecting in the XLRI form.
I have applied for 3 courses in XLRI namely FPM, BUsiness Managemnt and PM& IR ...... there is a single drop down box to select the specialization...
For FPM i am intrested to do it in Information Systems as I am an engineer with 3 years of work experience....and for BM i wanna select Operations...

Seniors please suggest what should i do..
All the BEST...

Thanks and Regards
Ankita

Hello,
Request seniors to post sectional cutoff marks (not percentile) of last year for XLRI (BM) admission. Though mandumk and computer_manan had answered such queries few posts before but it would be really helpful if seniors can post last years sectional cutoffs (scores) specially for BM specialisation.
Sumit sir, where are you..u had said few posts before that u will try to hunt for the same.
Happy New Year to all XLRI seniors who had helped us so far...
and to all puys taking XAT.

ATB to all XAT aspirants.

Hi Karthik,
Chek this link for tips on Essay writing
Essay Writing Tips for XAT
For the answer of the Qs how is it helpful in the final selection...
Is its helpful during the the time of your personal interview not during calls from the insti. since during the time of interview the panel may ask Qs based on the essay you have written.
ATB

I dont know why they are asking for specialization in the form because in BM and FPM, you can specialize in any of the fields i.e. Finance, Marketing, Operations, Eco etc etc... and this decision depends on the number of electives u take from any field in 2nd year. As first year is common for all the Bm and FPM students, so specialization specified here doesn't make any difference.

Lemme me know in case u staill have any query...

I think then specialization might be for FPM then as BM doesn't have any specialization

hey seniors or anyone!!! i got a problem. i looked up the link "essay writing tips for XAT' and one of the points it mentions there is neat handwriting. now ever since my school days teachers, parents, friends and everyone has said i have bad handwriting. its very legible but it does nt look appealing to the eye. now if i write an essay which is very good, but the handwriting is not very good, but the person reading the essay can read it comfortably then will i face a problem during the later stages of admission??
thanks

Hi r,
I didn't really mean to write a sarcastic post, but is there really anything you can do now regarding hand-writing? I am sure I have even worse hand-writing, more so because I haven't written anything excepts in forms for last 3 years. My advice, right now ignore all that cannot be changed and focus on other areas. Good luck to you

Regards,
Hitesh

We understand that as the final day comes near, students do get apprehensive about even the smallest matter. So such questions come naturally...:1eye:

No.. handwriting shouldn't matter.. so chilll and just focus on preparations.

All the best.
