Hi to all XLRI seniors..
One more question, do XLRI call candidates for interview just based on their XAt percentile like IIM ahmedabad or they consider academics too as their selection process like IIM Bangalore??

Hi Hi.Shivani
Here's what the XLRI selection criteria says... " While preparing the short-listed candidates for the interview, in addition to XAT Performance, we may factor in academic ability and the relevant work experience. Besides performance in the personal interviews (and/or group discussions), we will also consider XAT performance, relevant work experience, academic ability, extra curricular activities etc. while preparing the final list."
The actual page can be referred at XLRI Admission Process - XLRI School of Business & Human Resources
All the best for your preparation.
P.S. We might not be able to answer all queries as our end terms are starting from today... All the best to All BM and IR students... we rock guys...

refer to www.xlri.edu... you need to buy both the XAT prospectus to appear for the exam.. to apply to XLRI you need to buy XLRI brochure separately...

Well, actually it depends on your level of preparation, innit?
Something for all you XAT givers... XAT has questions on caselets, where your given a situation, and you're supposed to mark the best possible action. I actually attempted all of them and got all correct, hence a Bummer in XLRI today.
Do a lot of these and get the hang of it, coz once you do, these are easy pickings.

Hi Guys,
I have few question:
1. Whats the basic difference between BM and PM n' IR programmes?
2. My understnading is that PM n' IR deals with Human Resource management. Is my understanding true?
3. In PM n' IR, can one person go for specialization in Finance or IT Systems?
4. What kinds of jobs are offered to PM n' IR candidates?

I'll let IR folks answer your queries, meanwhile take a looksie ... http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/career...22-why-hr.html (Why HR?)
Any input I can give you is that PMIR is as challenging and rewarding as any other MBA stream. So much so that many people have left lucrative jobs and IIMmaterial offers to join PMIR.
PS: Why dont you IR folks go through last years' threads and make a comprehensive FAQ about PMIR for this year's XAT takers.
