Thanks. I was taking up topic-wise mock tests but I found I was spending too much time on the analysis part and I couldn't proceed to the next topic at all Is it ok if I take up mock tests even if I don't complete concepts in most of the topics? Can anyone suggest a strategy for taking up tests and preparation simultaneously?

Hi seniors...

a few queries reg XAT form submission:

1.I had applied online using demand draft mode.
Now I have a pdf of XAT PP form and demand draft with me.
What all do I need to send to XLRI in addition to this?

2.Also,what correspondence is expected from XLRI once they recieve the payment.Will they be sending some prospectus/form after they recieve the payment?

4.I am not able to login to see the XAT PA form(message saying I havent registered[:O])What is this form about?.Will I able to login and check once they recieve the payment and update in their database.

Well basically every one has to follow his own strategies. They can't be generalised because the topic in which you are strong, may be some other are weak in it. But what i is you should start solving test papers when you have atleast basic idea of all the major topics. Then only you can judge your performance. Then start giving tests and check where are you lagging and you need more practice. And side by side practice higher level problems for the various topics which you had covered. This will strengthen your topic.
And when it comes to section make your stronger section stronger, and the other two strong. Means when you are good at some section then you should not ignore it, practice for it equally because that section will help you clearing the over all cutoff

1.Well buddy you have to take the print out and send it to the address mentioned in the payment advice form. Along with the DD(write your name and XAT ID on the back side)And don't forget to sign the box and affix photograph.

2.If you have applied for XLRI also then you will be receiving prospectus otherwise if you have only applied for XAT then you will not get any prospectus. You will be acknowledged through mail. You will have to keep checking mails in the XAT account.You will also be asked to verify the signature and photo.

3. If you have registered then you can access the XAT account from the next moment itself. use your xat id and password provided to you in the mail. if you are not able to access then contact XAT officials

I have a question related to xlri and ximb admission. Do these two institutes give SC/ST quota. I mean whether seats are reserverd for SC/ST's in XL and XIMB or not.

Alos tell me about NMAT (Narsi Monji) whether there seats are reserved for SC/ST or not.
Please help me to take a decision

respected friends i want to buy the Xat form through DD so can u xactly tell me that where should i send the DD and in who's favor it should be drawn and can i fill the Xat form directly on internet rather than buying it through DD or Axis branch

Nope, both these institutes do not have any reservation. That is because of two reasons:
1) Its a private institute
2) XLRI believes in excellence and integrity. Quota system propagates exactly against it.
3) Every institute has to maintain a certain brand value which gets reflected by its students. Hence, the emphasis on merit.

PS: Sorry to say, but most private institutes don't follow a quota system as they are providing diplomas only.

1) No, Narsee Monji doesnt have quota as well... Though it gives preference to Gujratis...

Yep, continue taking the mocks. but keep assessing ur progress too.
So, u wud understand how ur knowledge of each concept is helping u in maximizing ur overall score...

Focus on ur weak areas... And leverage ur strengths...
