The envelope that we received along with XLRI prospectus, DID have the Post Box no printed in the address. On the other hand, the XLRI PA form that was generated after registering online, DID NOT have the Post Box no mentioned in the address (both the addresses were identical except the Post Box no)
So when the person at the Post office informed me that speed post cant deliver at a Post Box no, I struck off the post box no from the address on the envelope (I had the confidence for doing it, since the PA form address did not have it )
Can you please provide me any info regarding whether my striking off the post box no from the address will have any impact on the proper receipt of the XLRI form??

Hey sayankar,
Pls let us know what exact address u wrote on the envelope. Although such a thing shall not cause a problem but then also we can give a sure answer if we know where actually uve sent the speed post/mail.

This is the address that I had sent the form to, via speed post:
XLRI Admissions Office
XLRI
Circuit House Area (East)
Jamshedpur – 831035
I had sent both the XAT & XLRI forms on the same day & today I received a system-generated mail, saying that my payment has been received for the XAT form. I didn;t get any such message for the XLRI form.

That address should be enough, then. Don't worry Sayankar, and keep preparing... form to pahunch jaayega. Depending on when you sent the form, it could take 2-3 weeks for you to get an acknowledgment.

Hi sumitrocks,
so that means one can speed post the applications without mentioning the po box number w/o a problem.... right ?

Yes Munna...coz the address quoted above is the one that my folks use, to send correspondence, and it always reaches.
So, logical deduction: Your form will also reach.

You'll get your answer here... XLRI Admission Process - XLRI School of Business & Human Resources
P.S.: I think I better start counting how many times I've pasted this link in this thread. Why dont you people read and search the thread before asking a query??

Re: XLRI 2009 -Official thread for Queries -

Hi
I filled up the XAT and XLRI forms last Sunday(7th Sept) and sent them last Tuesday(9th Sept).
I happened to log on to the XAT site today and downloaded the forms again to keep a copy.I noticed the size of the forms have changed since last Sunday(XAT-27 KB TO 32 KB,XLRI-22 KB to 32 KB).The XAT PP form I had sent had only one bar code with the XAT id written under it and the XLRI PA form had no bar code.
But today the XAT PP form has two barcodes and so does the XLRI PA form.
The changes seem to have been made after I sent the forms since the layout also seems to have changed a bit.And I am sure there was no problem with downloading the forms last time since I had downloaded them through IE,Firefox and Chrome and checked by downloading them on different machines.(I am especially finicky with these things after a bad experience with the JMETform last time).
Could anyone shed any light on this issue?
Is this something I have to worry about?

I am planning to take up XAT this year. It's mentioned clearly on the XLRI website that "The candidate has to enclose the third copy of the bank ( XAT) pay-in-slip along with the completed XAT PP Form in the special envelope provided in the XAT Bulletin and send it by registered post / speed post / courier within a week of obtaining the XAT Bulletin".
However, there is also a mention that "The last date for receiving the XAT PP Form at XAT office, XLRI Jamshedpur is December 05, 2008".
I got the bulletin a week back and I haven't filled the form as yet. Is it something I have to worry about?
