So, please refrain from asking us which program is better.
Come on yaar, you can always choose your program after the results are out. Till then, drive yourself to excel (no pun intended ) and do well.
As has been said by most/all of us, some people ditched PMIR because they wanted BM, and some like me, ditched BM, because we wanted PMIR. Obviously you're more likely to do well in a stream that you love, so that should be the only one that's better for you.
Makes sense?

I log on to PG after quite a while thinking that there might be one or two queries left unanswered but I am amazed by the enthu levels in the junior batch Keep up the good work guys
As for the aspirants, ATB Very soon the junior batch will also be away on vacations and they might not be able to access PG regularly so please be a lil patient in case your queries are not answered immediately

Two reasons for that, Bugs:
1) Vicarious modeling from our seniors (Yup, we have our OB exam tomorrow )
2) DCP karne ki aadat
P.S. Sorry guys, if these terms mean nothing to you. Please ignore. (It's an inside joke )

I would like to prepare for XAT 2009 and would like to know where I can find good material for preparation. I also want to know from where I could take up mock XAT exams.
Thanks in advance.

Try going here (Materials related to CAT, XAT and other entrance exams posted here) to get some study material/gyan for XAT preparation.
And almost all coaching institutes have mock XAT exams. Try contacting your nearest instis for the info.
All the best!!

It's a bit too early to start thinking of interviews yet, but I've been PMed by a few people who wanted to know more about what one is asked in interviews. So here ([2008] XLRI PI Experiences (BM & PMIR)) is the link to some experiences from last year.
Also, our end-terms are getting over today (in about 3 hours from now ), so most of us will probably ditch our lappies for a week or so. However, there will be a few addicted ones, available for help. So, keep the queries coming.

Thanks a lot. I have just started preparation and I won't be taking up the CAT this year. Moreover,I'm not very strong with the concepts. How should I prepare for XAT because I have very less time to prepare for it.
Thanks in advance.

I suggest you divide your time between brushing up on your concepts and taking tests. Initially, start off by taking 'sectional' tests, so that you can focus on QA/VA/DI properly and build both speed and accuracy. After a couple of months, start with mock tests, and see how you're faring.
In fact, even now, my suggestion is to take a mock every week, so that you know whether your prep is on the right track.
Some philosophical gyaan for all: A study plan is like a shoe, YOU need to decide if it fits well. So, your plan should be what fits you, and not me, or anyone else.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not attending any coaching institute so I would like to know where I can find sectional tests and full length mock tests for XAT.
Thanks in advance.

Hey apsidd,
I'd suggest you to join "test series" of any one of the coaching institutes (Cant write which one as I dont wanna publicize any inst, u can PM me for more info).
 The major advantage that you'll get will be relative ranking against students spread all over India. Unless u know where you stand vis-a-vis these people, how can you know where you wanna reach?
Just think over it... All the best.

Hello ,
I purchased XLRI brochure and purchased XAT brochure .The XAT brochure is complete with Pay in slip and envelop.

IS this the same with every one purchasing XLRI prospectus??
If yes then how are you sending your XLRI PA form ??

Please mail me the scaned copy of the address side of envelop so that i can make envelop by my own.I will make ammendment in scanned image as per changed form no.
