In educational details , they have mentioned Name of the degree....wht should one write for 10th and 12th standard...awaiting ur replies !!!

It may also be dependent on the state/board from which u did ur X and XII...e.g for maharashtra we call it SSC and HSC only. Also, in my form, I had mentioned it as HSC(Science) if I remember it correctly. Just check ur marksheet and fill in the corresponding entry

Will XAT 2009 have cut-offs for every section? If so,can anyone suggest a method to clear the Quants,DI and verbal sections?

XAT does not have any cut-offs...

The cut-offs are kept by different institutions. e.g. XLRI has cut-offs for each and every section. For details check out the link given by Manan a few posts back...

To clear all the sectionals:
Devote time to each section. Its better to pre-decide the rough time to be spent on each section
Practice this time management in mocks
In case u feel that one of ur section always gives u a miserable score, start working on it. You still have 3-4 months
and after attempting decently in all sections go for the scoring section to maximize ur score


So it boils down to STRATEGY and FOCUS on weaker areas...
