hello seniors..

i hav a query..as most of d B-Schools prefer work-ex now-a-days,is it the same case wid XLRI?..

i hav completed my B.Tech this yr n hav no work-ex..in ny case,will it effect my selection procedure, even after performing well in written n interview?

Ankita, there's nothing like experienced people or freshers being 'preferred' at XLRI. Here, a healthy mix of both 'varieties' of people is maintained, and you will surely not be at a disadvantage because of your lack of workex.

Prepare hard for XAT, and secure a good score. There should be nothing stopping you after that...

hey can anyone tell me how much cut offs does XLRI have out of 120??......... I knw it has sectional cut-offs which other colleges have sectional cut-offs except XLRI ??

also i would like to knw abut other colleges cut-offs too .. like SP-jain, GIM, XIM-B ???
plzz anyone can tell it would be a big help.....

i want to know about the weightage given to the essay part by each institution considering XAT .. plz someone help me .... or else oly XLRI considers tht essay part

what am i supposed to fill in "the degree name" for class 12th. since "science" is also mentioned as one of the option. i checked some threads but there it was mentiond that cbse board people should fill AISSCE as the degree name sinnce "science" indicates only the stream. and once u select the science option the cursor doesnt blink in the next column(where we could mention AISSCE).
plz help me seniors. eagerly waiting for the answer.

Primarily, the essay is not given any weightage for interview calls. The call that u might get is purely on the basis of your XAT %ile (with cut-offs) and your profile...
The essay is not always used in the evaluation process. It can have a certain impact in the interview round. but then no one knows whats the exact role played by it. Since XLRI never reveals out the basis of selection after interview, we cant say much about that.

Now, XAT is a an entrance exam conducted by XLRI. But the scores are used by more than 60 institutes. Its up to them whether they use the essay or not. They have full access to it.

The essay is a generic thing. Focus on your main exam, and be at par with day-to-day affairs fo the world. It shall help you for interviews of instis as well as in general...

plz seniors help me...nobody has replied to my query. i have checked al the previous threads and the answer is still ambiguous. some say it should be "science" while others say "aissce" in the degree name for class 12th.
very less time is left so i request puys to solve my prob.....

you hav to fill science in that section dude.... its in the option so u should get the option... where as in 10th we hav to write abut the degree hence there it is AISSE ... well i am pretty sure abut it.. and i m sure seniors will agree with me
