There are no GD for the BM course, there is only an interview
For PMIR, there is a GD and interview
The two processes are separate and usually on different dates..
Panel might or might not be the same..
Converts : XLRI(BM) FMS(MS) SCMHRD XIMB IIT K,Kgp
Rejects : NMIMS, FMS(MBA), IIT B

I am BE 2K5 graduate working in IT industry. Working late night and flirting with my own codes I got thought , its to much and need to upgarde myself and lets try with management.
Never appeared in any management test and has feeble ideas. One quick question for XAT and JMET:--
Can I appear for XAT and JMET exams and wait for my result before deciding to fill forms for XLRI, XIMB, IIT management dept based on score standings?
Apology in advance if query looks childish.
Thanks in advance:boat:

@ Dead,
Well, you can't wait till the results are out, to apply for XLRI and XIMB, b'coz the deadline for submitting the application form falls far before the results are declared. However, you can wait till the results are out to apply for the IIT's.

I have bought a form of Rs 900 for xlri and had applied for both BM and PM&IR
program. I want to apply for only BM program and the instruction given in the site mention that we can change the option but in my login there is no link to change this and moreover people at the help desk are also telling me that u can't make such changes.
what should I do?
Thanx in advance

Hey Akshay,
Just consider this... u dont cancel the PMIR registration now-> u give XAT-> U get both calls-> u convert both of them-> and now u take BM. Does it make any difference whether u applied to PMIR or not??? NO
or a better situation...
u dont cancel the PMIR registration now-> u give XAT-> U get both calls-> u convert only PMIR-> now you have a chance to enter XLRI through it's FLAGSHIP program PMIR. NOW has the PMIR application made any difference? YES
My suggestion is not to cancel the PMIR registration, just keep it as an option dude even if u r sure. Better to have as many options as possible.

Here's my tip for all those who are prone to errors in handling jumbled sentences:
1. Copy a random paragraph from a journal/newspaper that writes decent english. (Try Economist.com) - DO NOT read the paragraph/article yet.
2. Print out the lines from the paragraph in a randomised order. This is tough to do without reading the lines, so try to get a friend to do it.
3. Try arranging the lines in order, and compare with the original paragraph.
4. If you get it right, pat yourself on the back, and bless me.
5. If you get it wrong, try again (and still bless me).
I hope this works for you... I devised this technique last year to help me in my preps.
P.S. Sorry to repeat this info here, but I reckoned it might be of some use...

So, here we are. I'll try to gather some more XL students so that we can help you people in case you have any query regarding XAT / XLRI / XIMB etc etc...
All the best for your XAT 2009 and for all other exams.

Re: XAT 2009 Queries -

I've heard that you can opt for getting the scores sent to all the b schools (that accept XAT scores) and after the XAT results are out, they(the colleges that receive your scores) will send you a call letter inviting you to apply if you meet their cutoff.. Is this true? Can someone confirm this?
So effectively you don't need to fill in any forms except XLRI & XIMB??
