Hi Puys!

I wanted to clear a few doubts about the XAT/XLRI registration process.

a. I wish to apply for both XAT-based institutes and the XLRI. This means that I need to get both the XAT bulletin (to register for the XAT), as well as the XLRI prospectus, (to register for the XLRI) right?

b. Is it okay to send in both the XAT PP form and the XLRI PA form in one shot?

c. Now comes the tricky part. I had procured the XAT bulletin way back on the 15th of Sep. However, I was unable to gather enough money for the XLRI prospectus, and decided to wait. Thanks to my carelessness, I have completely missed the 7-day deadline for despatching the XAT PP form. Do you think that the bulletin has any chance of getting accepted, if I happen to get myself registered for the XAT tonight, and subsequently despatch the requisite documents, tomorrow? Or do I need to get myself a new copy of the XAT bulletin?

I tried calling the XL helpline, but nobody responds. Please help me.

do not worry about the 7 day deadline, do send in your form as quickly as u can, preferably tomorrow. And make it a point to call up on monday and intimate the admissions office. Things will be li'l jittery before that as Ensemble is going on in Campus.

a. Yes, you need procure both XAT and XLRI forms. The exam is separate from the institute, hence the difference.

b. No, DO NOT send it in one shot. Both should be in separate envelops.

c. Everything related to XAT should be reached together. Just post ur application and it should reach XLRI before the final deadline.

Hi ,
while filling the xat regisration form, after submittin the form i got the xat id and password but after that due to some snag my PC hanged and I was not able to go to the next page i.e the colleges wala page..
Now when I again logged in, I was able to download my Xat form but from nowhere I was able to acces that colleges wala page..
XL ppl plz help.. willl this create any problem later on as I will be applying to some clgs..
If yes how can I rectify it(I feel i am missing something to get to that page)..

i am new to this site....
neways i screwed cat-2008 in pursuit of clearing cut-offs for iims...tat is
i devoted 2 mch time on a section of my strength whch i thot ws
cmparitivly diffclt.....n ten failure follwd....
i jst wntd to get evrythng rite fr xat----09.....nt thnkng abt th colleges
at present jst focussing on th exam....
i am gud at quant.....mediocre in lrdi n english.....the accuracy is high
but speed nt tat mch...as in 120 mins wud mean an attempt of 35-40
ques wth gud aacuracy...
will tat b enuf fr a gud overall percentile...i know nuthng can b predicted abt th score n the final day..but shud i try to increase th no of attempts...?

My dad bought xlri form from axis bank and he signed on the
depositor's signature box on pay-in-slips.
Is this admissible or only candidate can sign on depositors signature box?
Will my form get rejected due to this or do i have to buy a new form?

subham....since its a competitive test so its not bout 30 or 40 questions u do but its bout wat others do... so try to maximize ur score by bringing in a sense of urgency while attempting the paper and dont be complacent with ur attempts.....in this month and a half try to solve as many test papers as u can.....

Thats not a problem.......Even in my case, it was my dad who signed on the pay-in-slips....!!

Quantum, reiteration not required.... just entered my room after a hectic day of running around for Ensemble - our annual fest.

I'm certainly not the best person to ask about SPJ, coz I never applied there. But, my impression is that they have primarily profile-based calls, and the range of 'cutoff' scores is rather flexible.

Still, I'd request you to seek more info from some people on the SPJ thread.
