Well, u might be right to a certain extent. Knowing maths studied in +1, +2 level might act as beneficial, but the major focus is on maths studied up till 10th only.

All u need is to lay stress on basics. The questions do not test ur knowledge, they test ur skill to APPLY them. So, try out some mocks and u will know the rough level. Rest of the work is done by coaching institutes...

Most of the junta know the formulas; wat they lack is the vision to see where they get used and patience to understand the question...

Practice a bit, recognize ur weak areas, and then go for formulas for specific areas of quant...

what was d sectional and overol cut off like in d last year?
sm1 mentioned dt on a scre of 39 last year he gt a 97.8%ile


accuracy is fight for every1(except for few of shakespeares...) in verbal section, so what wd a safe scre like?????

Well it'd be very difficult for us to answer this question. Though we know the percentile cutoffs (as mentioned in XLRI site link = XLRI Admission Process - XLRI School of Business & Human Resources ), but to get information about the marks would be a tough task and that too when ur end terms are going on... :2gunfire:

But I can share my own story which says accuracy is very important. Here we go...

I came out despondent... "no way I can get good results from this exam" was what I thought after coming out.

"after all 51 attempts is like nothing... I guess." "lemme ask other friends"

"71 the 1st said... 81 the other"... you can guess my feelings after such a response from you friends.

Among us, only i got call.

So... well I'd say that for CAT and XAT, maintain a decent speed with very high accuracy and you are through.

For the two courses Business Management Programme and Personnel Management and Industrial Relations Programme,
are there seperate GD/PIs conducted ?

I am from IT background, and barring HR, finance and marketing, I do not have much knowledge about the specializations in MBA like operations, supply chain, strategic mgmt etc..
