cud u tell me how many come for the GD/PI to siom only..
Hi Praveen,

There are 120 seats in all and as per the current reservation policies, 45.5% seats are going to be reserved (Please refer to the break-up on URL: Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management ). That means there are still 65 seats (i.e. 54.5%) open for general category students.

Out of all the applications received, around 800 would be shortlisted for GD/PI. And out of these 120 would be finally shortlisted. Apart from this, there would be waitlist also.

1)could u clarify if snap gives ranking wid scores or only scores..
2)after v get our score v buy d siom form, fill it up n attach ur profile
and give it the college..
is that d formality..??
3)meanwhile i had also worked in a small company...
but i have not added that as an experience while i was filling the snap registration online form...
so will der be any problem if i add that experience while i attach my profile wen giving my form to siom????
or wat ever is filled in d online registration form is final??

As a fresher studying in SIOM, i can only tell you, if u score well in SNAP and if you are confident about yourself you can be at par with ppl having considerable work ex too..! All the best..

2)after v get our score v buy d siom form, fill it up n attach ur profile

is that d formality..?? U can fill the form before receiving your scores as well as you need to input ur SNAP reg no. not your score
3)meanwhile i had also worked in a small company...
but i have not added that as an experience while i was filling the snap registration online form...
so will der be any problem if i add that experience while i attach my profile wen giving my form to siom???? You can add your experience in the SIOM form i dont see a problem with that, cause at the time of the interview they will consider your SIOM form not SNAP form
or wat ever is filled in d online registration form is final??
wat to do.. ??[/quote]

I hope that i answered your queries.!

well.. first of all i wud like to thnk u guys for d replies..
well regarding the scores tat i was asking ...

i have read in many threads that even if u get good scores d profile plays a very important role even for getting calls..
so v pay 1000 for answering snap.. another 1500 for the coll form..n if v get good score n submit our form.. (having an ok profile)and v dnt receive calls.. so all d money is wasted..
i knw dis goes on in all colls.. but how can siom justify dis thing..
good score+fill form+ok profile=no calls???

Dude this question practically dogs all of us...

try to gauge certain other situations:

Worked hard throughout school, college and work place and been exceptional in all except for one BAD SNAP score.. is the candidate eligible???

poor grades and poor profile throughout the career but very good and exceptional SNAP score.. is the candidate eligible??

if u are able to answer the above questions practically then u would understand tht its difficult to gauge whos the right candidate...

so in order to to get off this criteria of judging a candidate on one and Only one parameter, SIOM gives u a hundred other chance to prove ur worth in both being shortlisted for the GD/PI process and before anyone is eliminated in any of the followin process.. we can discuss tht later i guess once u guys are shortlisted..

there is much more to shortlisting than jus grades, work ex and extra curruculars which u will subsequently understand and some u wont... so for the time being relax and concentrate on the SNAP... this is wht u can control, rest u cant so dont thinkmuch abt it and waste ur time...

all the best.,.. further queries are welcome... keep asking

regards
d&g

Man there is no sectional cut off considered at SIOM its the overall SNAP score along with profile that counts...So rest assured u can score in ur strong areas on SNAP and still u stand a good chance. All the best.

Last time Over 1,00,000 aspirants wrote SNAP out of which wround 35,000 were engineers. Last to last year this figure was around 70,0000. This time the figure may cross 1.5 lac.
