Varun What are my chances of getting a call for GD/PI

Your profile excluding engineering record seems to be good. However, your SNAP score is on the lower side. Your engineering record (including semesterwise performace with minimal number of backlogs) will also count. Seven prior backlogs may adversely have an impact on chances of your getting call. In my opinion, your chances of getting call are not high.

Your have reasonably good chances of getting call. SNAP score is perhaps the only negative factor. All the best.

If so, I apologize for being persistent.
Puys - Im having trouble getting a print out of the filled up application. The only way I can get the entire content without missing anything is if I use a Landscape in A4 or if I use an A3 sized sheet, both of which dont seem right to me.
I've tried all possible settings in A4 and it just does'nt fit in it. Am I missing something here? A quick reply would be greatly appreciated.

Not as many companies are coming for recruitment as that of last year. Some of the past recruiters have freezed on recruitment. Situation is particularly bad in IT & Finance. However, there have been some very good additions to the recruiters list as well. Overall, till now, the placement figures have NOT suffered rather the only harm has been caused in terms of reduced number of offers. In other words, it will take longer than usual to place all the students. As compared to other B-Schools, SIOM's performance has been better overall as far as placements are concerned. This is the most I can tell you about the placement scenario.
As far as your print-out problem is concerned, try converting your form to PDF. Download the PromoPDF for free from the net and convert it into PDF. Then take its print-out. It'll be in fully in the margins.

Surely, you can apply after the declaration of SNAP results. But don't delay too much as you'll have very less time to solve your problems, if any. Application procedure is available on URL: SNAP Test for admission to SIOM MBA

Varun - Good to hear bout the new recruiters' pouring in.
I have'nt seen many pics of your campus posted on the SIOM website. If you have any pictures, and if PG rules allow you to post it, please put up some pics.
Appl form:You suggested I convert the existing format to a '.pdf'. The print is given directly off the SIOM servers' right, and as far as my knowledge goes there's no way of changing the format here, and i dont see a download option either. Anyways will try out what you said.

Hi there, m not sure how far u can convert it into pdf format, I would suggest u to check ur browser settings for printouts, there are different option available in browsers which U can try out, also I hv seen, for the same reasons mentioned above, print out given from different browsers give different results. In case u using mozilla, try IE, i think this should work for u.
If you wana come second... just follow me

hi puys...
looking at the thread queries and subsequent responses
it seems like there is no assurance of getting cals on basis of experience...
people who got high snap scores would definately get..
though these people r handful in number..
some have high snap score but other problems with profile, academics..
some have great profile but problems with academics, snap score...
some have reasonable profile, great academics but low snap score...
so all d siomees...
jus predict the percentage chances for the following...
1.high snap, great work exp, poor academics....
2.high snap , "ok" work exp, gr8 academcs...
3.mediocre snap score, ok profile, ok academics...
4.lower snap score, relevant work exp, ok academics
i hope its not difficult for siomees to answer this one..
i guess most of us fall in case 4 or case 3...
thanks

Same queries as all other pays have:
10th -> 81%
12th -> 75%
B.E -> 74% with no backlogs. (Min: 65%, Max: 85%)
Extra Curium: Co-founder of ngo and working for this from last 5 year and other small achievements.
Snap score: around 55.
What are my chances??

You'll be able to see the campus yourself when you'll come for GD/PI, if shortlisted. I'll check if I can upload some pics or provide you some links some time later.
As far as the print part is concerned, it will definitely work fine with PDF conversion. In fact one of the puys had converted it and then had taken print-out successfully. So, it should work for you as well. Download Primo PDF and install it. Don't try to save the form. Go to the print option directly and then select PrimoPDF as the printer instead of your actual printer. You'll get the PDF form in the right format for sure. Then take the print with your printer.

Your 1+ year of gap due to searching of job would count. Mention that in the education gap. You definitely need to send the print-out to the institute. That's essential. Only after receipt of your print-out and verification of payment details, you'll receive the prospectus.
And yes, you seem to have good chances to get shortlisted. All the best.

Being a fresher, your SNAP score is less. In my opinion, your chances are less.

It's not that people with high SNAP score would definitely get through. There would be many with high scores not getting a call due to their not so good profiles. And there would be some getting calls inspite of not so good SNAP score but a very good profile.
Your question is very difficult. Everything has some weightage and negative points in a person's profile carry negative points. So, the cumulative score after giving weightage to different parameters would count as a whole.

Your profile looks very good. However, your SNAP score is less. If you have work-ex too, you would have definitely a high probability to get shortlisted. Without work-ex, your chances seem to be NOT very good.
