Varun/other seniors - How's the placement scenario this time around at SIOM? (I mean final placements) If the placements are yet to begin, how's the response been from the companies this year?

Whats refraining me from applying is my pathetic 12th score and 4 backlogs during my graduation
Help me Buddy
Sort this out for me
Although you have good amount of work-ex and a reasonable SNAP score, your 4 backlogs may reduce your chances of getting shortlisted. It would be difficult for me to comment on your chances of getting shortlisted primarily due to your backlogs. Still, if you are interested in SIOM, you should apply.

my Engg(mech) is 68

any seniors can please help in this regard ..plzz..plzzz.
Altthough your SNAP score is on the lower side, yet you would have chances of getting shortlisted provided you never had any backlogs. Backlogs would add negative marks to your profile and you already don't have very good SNAP score. You need to rank in say top 600 general category students in order of their cumulative scores after giving weightage to different parameters. This forms the basis of myself predicting your chances. All the best.

For the information of all SIOM aspirants, both the following issues as pointed out by aspirants have been rectified:
  • Candidates with no surname in their certificates can now fill that column with special symbol '-' as given in the instruction.
  • Candidates can now fill the complete name in the column meant for Father's/Guardian's Name. Special symbol space has been permitted for this.

You'll have to get the DD of Rs. 1500 made in favour of Director SIOM payable at Nashik for payment towards SIOM application fee. Fill the form online and submit it online. Take its print-out, paste your photograph, sign in the space provided and write your DD No., DD Date & Bank Name and sent it to SIOM. You'll receive the prospectus after the receipt of your form & DD. I hope it answers your query.

Hello Varun Sir,

Happy New Year ...

Sorry to correct but the online payment option through www.snaptest.org is still active and perfectly working.I did the payment using the same few days back:-)

1) You need to login using your snap id and password.
2) Click on the link "make payment"
3) It will redirect you to the payment advice page(It will show that you have paid Rs 1000 for snap test in case you have paid the snap fees using your credit card). It will also show the list of symbiosis associated colleges with check boxes.
4)You need to click the check box beside SIOM and click on the link fimalize the payment.
5)It will redirect to a page which will have 2 links "demo credit card" and "pay by credit card"
6)Click on the link,It will pop up a message dialog saying not to close the browser.Press yes and sit aback.
7)It will redirect you to the Dialect Payment Gateway.
You will se 2 images(links) Master Card and Visa.Click on the required image and you will be redirected to another form.
9)Enter you 16 digit credit card number, expiry date, ccv number and your name.Click Pay now.
10)DO NOT CLOSE THE BROWSER NOW.
11)It might forward you tp a page askig your IPIN .Do the needful and click ok.
12)You will be redirected to the merhant site(snaptest.org) and a transaction id will be issued..

Eureka ! You have completed the process. Now when you login into the snaptest.org website and click on make payment link you will see that "Paid" status is written beside SIOM along with the transaction id.

Hope this Helps !

Thanks
Amit

Varun - Thank you for your response. I understand you cannot share the actual facts/figures about your placements. But would it be possible to indicate a trend amongst companies this year, without getting anywhere near the actual figures? It would be totally understandable if "mum" is the word. If so, I apologize for being persistent.

Puys - Im having trouble getting a print out of the filled up application. The only way I can get the entire content without missing anything is if I use a Landscape in A4 or if I use an A3 sized sheet, both of which dont seem right to me.
I've tried all possible settings in A4 and it just does'nt fit in it. Am I missing something here? A quick reply would be greatly appreciated.

Friends,

In SIOM website the last date of Sale of Prospectus is 24th January. So can we apply for SIOM after 10th January. That is after the result is out?

If some one can point me to the correct link for application procedure for SIOM I will be glad...

Thanks a lot.
