From the latest merit list total wait listed candidates selected from first merit list till now is 82 !!!

Still 14 candidates are remaining...i hope all these also get selected.

In btw we were told during GD PI that last year waitlist movement was upto WL-40. Is this true??

You are right. Last year waiting list movement in general category was close to rank no. 40 in serial order.

And are Hostel rooms allotted on first come basis or on choice...or is it according to our role numbers..

We are supposed to report back on July 18. Effectively less than 2 months
And hostel rooms are neither alotted on first-cum-first-serve basis nor on the basis of choice, rather institute randomly assigns these rooms to the students (most often in alphabetical order of names of the students).

I guess you are talking about Vipassana. Most often students are sent to Vipassana centers in Pune or nearby Pune. Although that's a 10-day course, yet it seems like a year period to most of the students.

Jasdeep so far no one has asked for any document. I'm talking about Day 1.
I'm carrying all my original certificates, as there is no point in leaving them back. If not now you might need them after some time, so it will be better if you carry all your originals with you.
I think by the time you'll read my reply you'll be here in Nasik

For us (seniors), there are two groups namely Yahoo group which is our official group (includes faculty & staff also and is used for communication for official purposes) and the other one is Gmail group which is used for unofficial communication (includes students only).

Someone from you can take the initiative to make two groups. But make sure you approve only those to become a part of the group who are your batchmates at SIOM.
