I'm a Fresher and The Documents required, specified in the call letter, mentions a "Provisional Certificate"..I am assuming which is for the final year pple!

Could a senior or someone please explain what exactly is this Provisional Certificate?? I mean..who needs to issue it and what is it supposed to contain??

Provisional certificate issues by the concerned university. Go to your University and ask them for provisional certificate form, fill it up and probably you will get your provisional certificate after 1 week or depending upon the university norms.
It takes some time to get the Degree certificate after final year ,probably 1 or 2 year. So university issues a provisional certificate to substitute for this so that you can show it to other universities where u wanna pursue ur further career.

But I am in the final year and there's absolutely no time to write to the University for them to issue a certificate.
Could you please specify, for those who are yet to write their final semester exams, what documents do we need to carry??
Wont the marks cards till the 7th sem do??

Oh... you are in final year. Don't worry man, carry all the previous certificates with u and get the bonafide certificate from your college indicating that you are studying in final year. Still for clarification call up at SIOM.
