Hi Kushal,
Yeah it's true that situation is very bad and comapnies are recruiting less in numbers. Some have even frozen their recruitment.
As far as summers are concerned, we are not authorized to disclose the details till the entire batch is placed for their summers and official report is out.

Hi Praveen,
Last date to receive the DD/Proof of payment (Receipt of coaching institutes) along with print-out of e-admission form complete in all respects is 24th Jan 2008. The date has been delibrately kept after the declaration of SNAP results so that candidates have sufficient time to decide.

There is a section immediately after filling the semester-wise marks meant for filling the achievements (awards, medals & recognitions). The name of the section is as follows:
"Mention Awards/ Medals / Scholorships Received"
The role played here refers to the role you played for which you were granted the award/medal. For example, if you have played some sport at the regional/national level, you can mention your role as captain/player/extra player etc. Similarly, if you have published some article in a magazine/journal, you can mention your role as author/co-author etc.

SNAP this time will have 180 questions. Refer to URL: SNAP Test Structure to know more. General Knowledge/Awareness section can be attempted first to maximize your score as it will take the least time out of all the sections. For queries related to SNAP, you can post on SNAP thread: http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/other-...-21st-dec.html ([2008-09]SNAP is on 21st of dec)

SIOM doesn't have a single SNAP cut-off criteria. Calls are profile based and your SNAP score will also be taken into account while giving the calls. Profile of a candidate plays an important role for getting shortlisted for GD/PI.
