See its very difficult to comment just by seeing ur marks and academic record...well i wud advice u to get very good score in SNAP so that the shortcomings in the academics can be covered....

Though tarun has already answered your query but for second question i would like assure you that there no difference between people coming management quota or other quota .until you yourself dot no tell people there is no other way anybody can know which category you belongs to

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineer with 9 months Work-Ex in IT (yea rite..my incubation period before I cud come here)

hv sum doubts n questions..
I finished my graduation last year wid 59%..
10th- 69%
12th- 66%
So my acads r in a way poor.. So my question is wid des marks should i apply 4 sibm? If yes den wat shud b d minimum marks shud i score in snap so i can cover up my poor academics?
Another thing.. I hv been helping my dad in his business 4 d past 6 yrs.. Does dat account 2 work-ex? If yes den will i b considered at par wid a person having a job experience in mnc or any other company? I mean is own business work-ex will b of lesser value den job-ex? Are d management seats ppl allowed 2 sit 4 placements?

I hope they have clearly mentioned as Work experience in months as on 01/09/2008.
