certainly you can crack SIBM only thing you need is right approach efforts in right direction as academics a play very little role in whole admission process.There are other factors like written test, GD/PI etc if you perform better there no body can stop you

yes reading comprehension is an important part of VA test in SNAP but it is not as tough as CAT.IN snap speed is the key you have to be very fast and your time management should be excellent

For all the SNAP aspirants this year :

Don't worry about the level of difficulty of the different sections in the paper... The general trend over the years has been that it has been easier than CAT...

Prepare sincerely without trying to predict the pattern or difficulty of the paper or whether ur profile is good enough to be selected...

am i right in assuming that only SIBM asks for sectional cut-offs??
and what about SCMHRD??/
ive heard it asks for varied criteria in different fields...what are they like??
i am a TY BMS student...
manage first class every Sem,
10th 84.26%,
12th 69%....
no social work, not many extra-curriculars....
what are my chances in SCMHRD????
would just getting say 80+ in SNAP suffice???

This thread is for discussion on queries on SIBM Pune explicitly...it wud be grt if we can stick to the already specified agenda....questions on other coll shud be routed to appropriate threads...well for cut offs my advice wud be that at this stage rather than focusing on cut offs its better that u work towards maximizing ur score..speculation on cut offs come into picture once u r done with ur exam...and yes last yr it was only SIBM that had kept sessional cut offs....

what buks to refer to?
shall i concentrate on static or current GK?
hw many ques can one expect from biz GK?

Go and bring CHRONICLE YEAR BOOK. You should also read BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT which is a monthly maz. If u can get MANAGEMENT COMPASS which is a magzine provided by career launcher,from any of ur friend then it will b better. There is equal focus on current and static gk.
