Hi seniors,

I just wanna ask that admissions for 2009-11 has freezed or we can still expect some more movement??...SIBM has not provided with any WL no. so we are not able to predict our chances at any stage..

B.tech(ECE)-75%(pursuing)
can i expect to get into SIBM if i score decently in SNAP?
as this is all i can do now!!!!
who in his high school knew dat ur marks in physics.chem r goin to kick u hard after 5-6 yrs?
and who ever had heard SNAP in his 10th?

Unlike SCMHRD, SIBM doesnt gives profile based calls......So ur acads wont be deterrent for you.....The only thing that you need to get into SIBM is a good SNAP score first and then a good perfomance in GD/PI stage.

Admissions are not frozen. I am going to withdraw in a day or two. Few others may follow suit as waitlist of other institutes gets cleared. Final freeze will be on 8july, 1mth after session starts.
Crux of the matter is - dont lose hope anytime soon.

Well u'll definately get a call frm SIIB....abt SCMHRD better post this query to some SCMHRD senior as they would b able to guide u better in this regard

Studying for SNAP 09, SIBM 2010-2012 aspirant.
I have query... that I have a Very Poor Academics record. I know this query has been discussed a few times, but still very anxious about it.
May be coz my academic record is really very poor. I think it will play the spoil sport in the Final Selection process.

10th - 58% (SSC)
12th - 42% (HSC)
Grad - FY-year down 50%
SY-50%
TY-year down- 1 Backlog(hope to clear it in Oct. 09)
No Work-Ex.

Will I get through if I give SNAP & GD/PI my very best???
Do SIBM consider academic record???
If they do consider, what is the weightage of marks that is alloted to Academics & Work Ex??? Coz I am sure i'll get Zero in both Acad. & Work-Ex.

I dont kno about the weightage, but when i gave my interview last year, they went through all my marksheets, of graduation, 10th and 12th. The interview was completely technical. If u want to be on the safer side go well prepared with your core subjects bcoz i was made to design ciruits of amplifiers i had studied in my 2nd year or so...
